Should lottery winners share with colleagues?
Jack Whittaker is usually the poster child for what not to do when you win a large lottery jackpot
People forget right after claiming his money, Jack set up a charity to be run by four local pastors and funded by 10% of his winnings to help the poor but many complained they had to jump through too many hoops to get any of the money and it was only enough to help the very poorest. He also brought a house for a waitress that served him coffee every morning who was living in a trailer who compl

If you had 10 bucks to bet...
It is all about time. You can buy 1000 Pick 3 Tickets for one draw or you can buy 1000 and play for 1000 draws (quite a long time). One of them your going to win. The other you have the chance of winning 1000 times....or never. lol. To increase odds you always bet more on a single game. Even though each ticket has the same single chance of winning (1:1000) your chances have increased because you hold more than one ticket.
I guess that was a logical deduction. I don't know how to write o

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
I see what you're saying. However, when someone invests in a system that advertises that it will increase ones odds of winning the lottery, and at the end of the day they miss the jackpot and miss other 3/6, 4/6, and 5/6 wins, then how do you know if it's a good system or not?
Which goes back to the original question, what distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams, and quickpicks?
If one buys $100 on a draw in quick picks, dream picks, and guesses, and $100 on a draw with tickets

Nevada lawmakers discuss lottery
An effect of a state lottery on casinos would be felt more by a city like Mesquite, Nevada that could benefit by a lottery because it's only 30 miles from Utah where there is no lottery. For the casino towns that border California and Arizona there should no effect. I doubt there would be a significant increase in revenues as I doubt there would be a significant decline in revenues in Vegas or Reno casinos.
New Jersey was the opposite because they already had a state lottery when they legaliz

Seven Albany state workers won $319 million lottery prize
Of course, retailers do not enter into lottery contracts based on the contingency of selling a jackpot winner. Their primary income will be the 6% on ticket sales, but also the 0.5% of top prizes is across the board on most draw games.(up to $1,000,000 max) The merits of the larger top prize selling bonus are debatable, but the higher profits can give them more of an incentive to increase sales and to actually want their customers to win. That can help them with a positive attitude with a smile

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
Why are there even systems for jackpot games? Might as well just increase your odds by buying more tickets. The resolution stays the same, which is to say zero. I think if a system is ever found it will rely upon laws discovered by observing patterns because we will see those patterns obeying the same laws. Pick 3 is the likely place to find this and then it shouldn't be hard to apply to all lotteries. It's kind of like looking for the theory of everything....
That said, even without a TOE we
