Biggest odds you have overcome?
The biggest odds I ever overcame was when I was about 17 years old. That's eons ago, lol I flicked a cigarette butt towards a row of hedges at the High School where we hung out on the steps, on the sides of the school, and partied all night long. The cigarette butt flipped around a bunch of times and landed straight up, erect, resting on the filter. My jaw dropped. I firmly believe that, had I attempted to replicate such a rare event like this by flicking the butt every five seconds fro

May 20: Another Blockbu$ter Event!
Hello there, again I was taking an inventory of sorts concerning the digits drawn in every state Canada. I found that the digit 9 had not shown in the second position, Thursday May 19, 2011 in any state including Canada. With that knowledge it is indeed time for a $traight hit. Here are the 100 possibilities for any state, midday or evening: 091 190 092 290 093 390 094 490 095 590 096 690 097 790 098 890 192 291 193 391 194 491 195 591 196 691 197 791 198 891 293 392 294 492 295 592 296

Chaos-Order Duality
Infinitesimal Unit, Continuum and Instum, Continuum of Chaos and Instum of Order The Infinitesimal Unit is expressed as (1 / ) and is the first number and only the first number after the number zero. Zero and the Infinitesimal Unit both exist side-by-side with nothing in between; meaning there is no number that can be derived by any process or can expressed to exist between zero and the Infinitesimal Unit. The Infinitesimal Unit also exists at any point simultaneously with a Continuum and In

Odds 101
But any win is winning, period Exactly. A win is a win, and turning a profit is somehting else. You can easily see how many others here understand that by paying attention to how often somebody says something along the lines of I bought $10 worth of Powerball tickets and I won $3. This has been a discussion about probability and probability is only about the likelihood of an event occuring. In this case that event is having a winning ticket. The results of that event occurring are a

Probability of Winning the Powerball Jackpot
KY Floyd, Your post explains that buying 60 tickets for 1 draw is slightly better than buying 1 ticket in each of 60 draws. Some have interpreted your explanation to mean buying extra tickets does not change the odds of winning. I am asking you and anyone else that wishes to contribute, an answer to the following question. First, an introduction to the question. There are at least two ways of expressing the probability of an event occurring. The probability can be expressed

Probability of Winning the Powerball Jackpot
There are at least two ways of expressing the probability of an event occurring. The probability can be expressed as a percentage from 0% (impossible for the event to occur) all the way to 100% (the event is guaranteed to occur). The probability can also be expressed as 1 in X where X is a number from 1 (the event is guaranteed to occur) to infinity (impossible for the event to occur). Using the second method of expressing probabilities, the following are the probabilities of winn

Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
And again... The Probablebarometer again on target discerning Mathematical Laws that never lies about True Stochastic conditions... A stochastic process means that one has a system for which there are observations at certain times, and that the outcome, that is, the observed value at each time is a random variable. RAN-DOM VARIABLE, .The original poster has moved on so should you. why are you holding onto this thread by still posting in it keeping it open. stop posting and let i

Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
Many events cannot be predicted with total certainty. We can predict only the chance of an event to occuri.e. how likely they are to happen, I respectfully disagree with that Statement...and here's why... A chance is an intangible characteristics associated with the event being measured... If you're able to predict the chance, that's also predicting the event... the murky conveyance is total certainty ... Certainty in your Statement presumably alludes to positive fruition ,

Predictions from a sequence
Sorry for the delay in responding. Being Grampy to 3 beautiful little girls is just more important. I am updating the sequence together with it's cousins to try to go a little further down Prediction Road. The sequence posted so far was derived as follows: The basic concept was to separate the numbers into 2 groups and track the hits from each group on every draw. Sound a lot like Strings? . My system is based on 4_Strings and The type of Draw (S,D,DD,T,Q). Strings have the two gro
