$900 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot to create unimaginable wealth
unless I'm participating in a work pool tonight pretty much confirmed why I never spend more than $2 on Powerball. My uncle bought $250 worth of tickets. He had two numbers on a few tickets and the Powerball on 4 tickets and that's it. He won about $36 tonight and that's it. Reminds me of a friend who played briefly in the NBA in the 90's bought over $1000 tickets back when it first reached in the 300 millions and barely won $100. Ugh. lol

When a winning ticket gets destroyed
My bad. I should have been more pointed in my response. I meant to add an angle to the general topic and respond to the part you say about damage was due to player's negligence but it came out like I was arguing your point. (My excuse is I'm watching NBA playoffs) I don't think copies would be acceptable. Slippery slope

Wow WA Lotto might shut down due to budget..
What is there to discuss? It looks like there is a possibility the Washington Lottery could stop selling tickets and discussion worthy if it happens. But until it happens we could discuss the NBA finals.

How to avoid filter mistakes/repeats
All things don't need to be posted over this World Wide Web. Sorta like nfl nba teams posting their play books online for all of their opponents to see.

UK lottery winner says he's happier now that the money's gone
Totally Drenick- The NBA for one is littered with retired players who made gzimillions and are almost penniless. One such player was a teammate of Michael Jordan during their unprecedented reign in the 90's, l read where he also bought a plane* as if that is the status symbol of success. Read where he was crying in court over a decision that went his way, he recouped some of his money but the scars remain. The other nut played in the NFL, was on the 49's squad, won a ring and started bad mouthin

MEGA MILLIONS JACKPOT SOARS TO $636 MILLION
I totally agree. I don't give kids basketballs because I wouldn't want them becoming really good at the sport and possibly one day cashing in as a first round lottery pick in the NBA and not remembering me when that happens. Wow, you sound like somebody who would be really happy if their best friend won...

Lottery winner sues advisors for poor policies
NBA Players, NFL Players, and big lottery winners ect. ect. ect. The media love these stories because they get to make fun of the fickleness of the common man. Cheers

CNBC writer looking for lottery players
No, onlymoney, your feeble attempt to manufacture an argument failed. What I posted previously is the logic that underlies the preceding joke, and I stand by both: The fact is, it takes no skill the win the lottery, it just takes time. The math is very simple and predictable as any other mathematical formula. But most people don't have infinite time, so they die before they win. Simple as that. Winning the lottery IS easy, it just takes time. And the more you play, the higher your wins wil
