Cape - thanks for posting this. I was excited for a game with a lower top prize if the odds were better. Looks like they are making $1000 and $5000 prizes easier to win. But I'm disappointed at the 1:260k odds for the $500k prize. I was really hoping for something closer to 1:100,000 or better. I would have sacrificed the $200 prize tier for that.

What happened to this guy was a fluke... A lottery fluke as I call them. Lottery flukes happen more often that most players realize. How many times have you read about a big winner that a clerk sold him/her a ticket that the player didn't ask for or even want? I should have pointed out in my post above that the reason why I'm playing for a second place PB win and not a jackpot is this - the odds of matching the first 5 numbers are 1 in 11 million whereas to win a PB jackpot by matching

True, but the odds of winning the top prize are far better than the $30 to win $3 million in other games. I would play this game because the top prize is almost life-changing (as opposed to $1,000 which is not) with really good odds, 1 in 15,770.

The math don't math on scratchers in my state. Odds will say for example 1 and 3.68 or some bs like that. I buy 10 and only scratch 1 winner. If that. But I'm sure it's because I'm stupid. And the odds mean something completely different.

Agreed, they increase ticket price by 150% but only improved jackpot odds by 4%. The odds to win ANY prize also only increased 4%. Too bad it wasn't an April fools joke!

Yeah, it's 1 in 24.9. The story is fixed. The 1 in 38 that was previously in the story is the odds of matching just the Powerball, not the overall odds of winning any prize.

You have to understand something about how I play FF5 that I made no mention of in my post above. I think of FF5 as a game where I'm playing for a jackpot win due to it's lower odds. With PB or MM, I don't play them for a jackpot win because the odds of winning a jackpot are so astronomically stacked against players. Instead I play for a five number match in those games, and I add the Power Play or The Megaplier options. I've even been known to play five lines of PB with the same set of the
