$1.5 BILLION: Wednesday Powerball record jackpot still rising
Just have to be able to live or buy the ticket in an anonymous state. And then try to be as low key as possible....

Anonymity for this huge jackpot. Let's settle this right here and now.
I am from South Carolina too. Our State supposedly allows winners to remain anonymous !!! The problem is, your friends and family will find out, and might not keep their mouths closed !!!

The biggest issue an anonymous winner will face at first is from some reporter with either a camera or that license plate look up app hanging around the lottery office hoping to get a big scoop. After that it will be their own family or habits that will do them in.

$1.5 BILLION: Wednesday Powerball record jackpot still rising
No I look more like Rita Hayworth actually. But because I am a single woman there is no way I'm going down there myself. Luckily I live in anonymous state and I will be pretty low key.

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
Possibly. However, many states have reciprocal agreements so one won't pay more than the highest rate of either state. In general, it's best to play in one's home state. An exception to that would be one seeking to remain anonymous and play in a state, such as, Delaware. On a related note, a winning ticket must be claimed in the jurisdiction it was sold in.

Are you ready for the attention?
There would be A LOT of mad and disappointed people if the winner of the world's largest jackpot remained anonymous, including myself. Unless I won but of course my state does not allow it anyway. There would also be a lot of skeptics and something the Lottery would not want. Weird thing is I would want to take credit for and have that place in history and at the same time not be known. Guess you really can't have your cake and eat it too.

Imagine it's a single winner and he or she doesn't pick up the winnings because they can't say anonymous or can but are scared of being found out about and the consequences.

I think that powerball has crossed the line what do you think?
As someone stated before of course Im going to buy a ticket with the hopes of winning the billon dollars..I dont personally think anyone will be put in danger as long as your smart about it..if your unlucky enough to be from a state where you cant be anonymous..I forget what they are called but they basically claim the money for the winners..also people have memories like gold fish..just wait two to three months before claiming..also one of the things I love about huge jackpots is it creates alo

Yeah if the winner is not from an anonymous state, they are going to become more popular overnight than Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, Beyonc , Miley Cyrus, Angelina Jolie, and Taylor Swift all combined. LOL

$800 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot approaches billion-dollar range
I could swear when I drive up to Cincy from Louie that your tickets do not say jackpots on them, but I never paid that much attention. At least Ohio has anonymous winning. In New Jersey you have to tell them annuity or cash option when you purchase your tickets. In KY they USE TO do that and thankfully got rid of it. When I emailed the NJ lottery about that coming back from Atlantic City they had a robo reply---thank you for your opinion.
