Lottery Pool Glitch
As I've posted about before, I run a lottery pool with me my coworkers but have run into a little glitch. I buy multidraw Powerball and Lotto tickets every payday to cover 2 weeks of drawings. It turns out, one of the drawing dates is Christmas day. The glitch is Powerball does draw on Christmas day, but Louisiana Lotto doesn't, so when the tickets printed, the last drawing for Louisiana Lotto is January 1. When I buy the next round of tickets, we'll basically be buying twice the January 1 drawi

Connecticut man sues friend for share of lottery prize
This is the prime reason not to enter a pool with anyone! Heck, even contracts can be broken these days (with the right lawyer that is)! So, what good would a contract do for you when you're in a pool? To me there is no justification or a valid argument to be in a pool of any kind with anyone at anytime (because of the simple fact that there is no contract in the world that can't be broken)!

10 N.J. co-workers will split $216M lottery jackpot
It amazes me that so many pools have trouble over the small amounts that are normally involved. If they're collecting $10 per person, the administrator would only have to kick in $20 if 2 players aren't at work or don't have the money that day. If they're normally in the pool, then you've already agreed that you're okay with the number of people who will share any prizes you win. That means you really don't have much to lose. If you front the money for somebody for the first time and you win, yo
