$ick of this USA country & will move when I HIT BIG JACKPOT
Right now if I picked a $60,000 Fantasy 5 winner, I would make about $24.00 an hour. I know this is hard work. You may be right. That's another reason for being anonymous. My neighbors don't need to know how much time I spend on this or how much I win. I will still stay put unless the Democrat thin happens.

$ick of this USA country & will move when I HIT BIG JACKPOT
I will not leave my home in the foothills of Northern Ca until all of my neighbors become Democrats. That will never happen. Avoiding contact with the Liberal Government is the Key to Happiness. The only problem I see with a big win is having to look my neighbors in the eye and knowing that I will lose respect for me because the gain was not the product of hard work. Remaining anonymous would be important to my future happiness.

Why do people get so emotional and would you tell anyone on big jackpots?
It does kinda piss me off that some people will only play when the jackpot gets high. I'm a regular player. So, I'm constantly contributing to those large jackpots. As far as telling anyone, I try to buy my tickets in anonymous states. If it goes to a Billion, and there's a sole winner, I don't think they have a choice on whether to be made known to the public.

Are you going to buy any subscriptions in 2016?
The number one issue for me, would be anonymity. In the interests of safety and security of winners, they really should be allowed the option of remaining anonymous.

Are you ready for the attention?
Hopefully, by then, state lotteries will allow winners to remain anonymous. But, if not, I would try to claim through a trust. Firstly, I would hire a good, ethical lawyer and find out what my options are. If I couldn't avoid publicity, I would certainly keep it too a minimum.

Are you ready for the attention?
In the UK, where winners have the right to remain anonymous, winners who do choose to go public, usually regret it. They can be besieged by requests for help, not just from relatives, but also complete strangers. Just as we don't go around talking about how much we earn, or what we own, why tell the world about a big win?

No More
I will not call the hotline, nor will I be convinced to do so. Each call is recorded, logged and saved, so like I said it's not really anonymous. This data could end up at a casino for all we know...

More lottery winners using trusts to accept prizes anonymously
I agree that with the advent of the internet it's way too easy to find and stalk people and this has made it even more important for winners to remain anonymous. It would be very difficult to disappear unless you bought your new property in the name of a corporation or something. Heck, these people find websites even follow renters. I assume they get their info from credit cards or banks or something. So you'd have to get all your mail sent to a drop box, and probably have that as your driver's

More lottery winners using trusts to accept prizes anonymously
Vaguely I remember the Courier-Journal, Louisville KY newspaper outed a lottery winner who claimed his winnings anonymously. They went through the Freedom of Information Act. Best to my recollection he did not have a Trust. My point is can folks use the FOIA to find out anonymous lottery winners? Personally I don't care, more power to the winners.
