Has a Lottery Clerk Ever Attempted to Rip You Off?
That's how the clerk in VA got me too mswiz. Somebody behind me started a conversation and she took my exchange ticket out of the machine while I was turned around and I didn't remember it til later. I went back to the store and asked her where it was and long story short, she pulled it out of the trash can and gave it to me.
Some of these clerks got a real racket going on and they know exactly what they're doing. They always play dumb when you catch them though.

Has a Lottery Clerk Ever Attempted to Rip You Off?
I always know how much I won, and the places around here have the screen facing us, the customer, but it also has a little instrumental music piece that plays we're in the money. So even if you are not paying attention, you hear the little music play to know you've won. One place I had a winning ticket and they must've turned off the music on the machine, but the screen still faced me and she didn't cheat me.
I would've been ticked off big time if that happened to me.

FLA Scratch-Offs
if your in miami i would play the 5 dollar tickets out of a machine, miami store clerks like to take the first 10 tickets off each roll and i just dont trust people at gas stations, it seems like the tikets they recomend always lose untill someone that either works their or is there everyday wins, i like a machine at a high volume winndixie where i get my tix from, ive tried a new strategy of grabbing the first ticket of each 5$ type ex. dolphins, monopoly, cruise for cash and 250 club, they alw

Vt. Lottery computer glitch creates extra winners
@DD: I have confirmed in the past with the manufacturers of the equipment, as well as with several state lotteries, that the quick picks are indeed generated on the lottery terminal itself, with absolutely no bias or conditions being placed on it from a central computer or anything else. I'm not saying that the lottery terminal uses a particularly good random number generator, but I am saying that the numbers are generated on the machine itself, with no biases, and then those numbers generated o

What was your biggest single prize?
I won about $165 in the Ohio lottery back in 1989. It was my first time ever playing any type of lottery. My-then boyfriend showed me how to buy a ticket (there was a machine at the local Woolworth's; you filled out the form and put it into the machine - it spit out your ticket). I had wanted to play before, but was afraid to ask the cashier how.
I remember him calling me the next day, saying neither of us had won (even though he didn't even know what my numbers were) and I asked him for the

Scratch Off Strategy
Great tip, thanks! I'm gonna look into those patterns here in the FLA.
I don't know what it's like in PA, but here you don't get to look over a ticket before you buy it. You can either get them from a vending machine that spits 'em out or an annoyed clerk who's usually in a rush. You don't really get a chance to ask for the last one on the roll or the one with the special marks on the bottom.

Louisiana's new system went online today
The Louisiana Lottery's new terminals went online today at 12noon central time. I run a couple of lottery pools and was relieved that multidraws would be reinstated, as they were suspended during the upgrade. Today's experience with the new system wasn't exactly pleasant.
At around 12:30PM, I went to my usual store to get the tickets for my pools and my personal tickets. They didn't have any new playslips available, the clerk said the $3 Lotto winner I had under the old system couldn't be

Lottery Winner's Plans? Paying the Bills
I am happy for the young man. He should be able to afford a consultant on the best option for him and how to save, distribute, and invest his money. On another note, I thought you could not sell yourself a ticket in the store or is that in certain states with certain games or is it just store policy. I have heard so many scam stories about these clerk selling themselves tickets and when to buy them. I also found out through a store clerk that when you request a Quick Pick that you can tell them

Watch out for this scam...
Scammers have been pulling a fast one on unsuspecting slot players.
Here's how it goes...
The scammer sits down at a slot machine and inserts a dollar bill. He takes a couple spins and brings his balance down to a few cents.
He hits the cash out button and uses his hand to block the voucher slot so that his voucher jams just to the inside edge of the ticket slot.
He leaves it there and walks a short distance away, waiting for another player to sit at tha
