Texas Lottery hires interim director to full-time post
Quote: Originally posted by JimmySand9 on June 29, 2006Texas will be an even stronger stronghold for ball drawings. This would mark the first time a computerized drawing would be switched to a ball machine. Hopefully this will start a trend. I agree JimmySand9! I would like to see other states doing the same thing.

Most Bizarre Numbers you have Seen
Are you suggesting you can manipulate the draw? That is at the least imposable even for the best of the best minds! About the only way you could create havoc with drawings is to have some type access to the computerized draws! And that would be well, illegal and called hacking! Just asking what you mean here by your statement?

Same lottery numbers win game twice
In Jersey Cash 5, there are at least two or maybe up to four times I can remember a set of numbers coming up the same 10 or so days later. One time the first paid 440K and the repeat paid maybe 5K. Those drawings are *NOT* computerized. Also... if the computerized draws do that then take advantage of it! The main thing I hate about computerized draws is they can't be systemized as easily..but maybe it's the opposite?

Lottery Post member turns up the heat on the Hoosier Lottery
The playing people of every state do have power to force change. This change will come when we force with petitions on voting day in each state. What needs to happen is for the people of each state to force the issues on the Statewide elections. Force the State to return to machine games (I'd prefer the last winners draw the balls in a public setting like a football stadium or basketball, soccer ect.) The State does not want hand drawings? Why one might ask? Well, they said because it woul

Lottery Post member turns up the heat on the Hoosier Lottery
For me what is sad about the Oregon lottery is that they took the easy way out. The lottery says the machines cost, the balls need to be cared for, the t.v. stations want us to pay to put the draws on. Every body else is going to computerization so lets join them and the players lose out. Forget the players we are only going to do what the laws says and that is if we feel like it. I only play powerball on a regular basis and if they go to a computerized drawing I will probably find the casin

A Losers Lament
On your point #2, Indiana not only uses a bad RNG for drawings, but they are also very secretive about their operations, and don't answer all the questions that people send them. Further, there have been documented cases of insider fraud at the Hoosier Lottery (news stories posted at Lottery Post), so many people are naturally suspicious of them.I think the main point Jeff is making is that he has tried all those things you mentioned (and many more!) and is in a long luckless period that starte

Report Card Error?
This is the article causing the confusion, but it still leaves some question regarding the Cash 5 drawings:How the Millionaire Raffle winning ticket selection will be conducted 12-31-05On the evening of Dec. 31, 2005, (New Year s Eve), the Pennsylvania Lottery will use an Automated Drawing Machine or ADM also called a Random Number Generator to select 509 winning tickets at random from all of the Millionaire Raffle tickets sold.In this drawing, the Lottery will award four top prizes of $1 mi

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
Lottomike is absolutely correct when he says the average person doesn't pay enough attention to the details. And when they do pay attention and they ask questions (at least in Indiana) here is the answer they receive:Taken directly from the Hoosier Lottery's website under the Ask George section: http://www.in.gov/hoosierlottery/promotions/askgeorge/askgeorge.asp ...the Hooseir Lottery has found that using a computerized random number generating machine increases the security and integrity of

Hoosier Lottey-Here We Go Again!!
Hi Mike,I think the point here is what many people perceive as the Hoosier Lottery's total lack of professionialism and their complete lack of responsiveness to player concerns. I complained to the Executive Director about the delay in posting the resilts of the Christmas Eve drawings. She of course offered me no explanation and here we are on New's Year's Eve and the same thing happens again. I know some people might not see this as such a big deal. I read Todd's remarks about the delayed C

question about tennessee lotto 5 drawings
You're right! I didn't know that TN Lotto 5 was computerized! Here's the link and info (emphasis added):http://www.tnlottery.com/howtoplay/ LOTTO 5 is Tennessee s own computerized game with a jackpot that grows until the jackpot is won. Prize amounts for LOTTO 5 are pari-mutuel, which means prizes are based on sales and all winners share an equal portion of the winnings in each prize category. Just select any five numbers from 1 to 39. If 3, 4 or 5 of those numbers are drawn in any order yo
