Has anyone ever worked for a Lottery?
Quality control is a VERY important concern with company's producing scratch tickets. You have to understand that depending on the particular press and game being run, tickets are being produced at the rate of 1+ million/hr. Some very large games can run for several days straight. The quality(viscosity's) of the inks being used in vat's are checked hourly by the ink tech's.The security inks (covering numbers)are run thru the most rigorous/elaborated test to assure the ticket cannot be broke

Elderly woman tells lottery scam artist to get a job and quit bothering her
If I recall, I believe that it was Michelin that used to run an AD on TV on why Michelin tires should be on your vehicles, because there were more important reasons in life than skimping on tires or something along those lines. The Ads targeted parents and the more important reasons were the children being transported regularly in the vehicles. The Biritish grandmother Lindsay Sandiford 56 that you are talking about recieved a death sentence in Bali for the guilt of drug trafficking. Accordin

Illinois Lottery superintendent Michael Jones and the Northstar Lottery Group are at odds. Northstar is the private management consortium named in the fall of 2010 to run the Illinois Lottery. The source of the disagreement is a preliminary draft of a ruling this week from a mediator assigned to determine whether Northstar should have to pay a penalty for failing to meet stipulated profit goals in its private management agreement with the state. By its own accounting Northstar, comprised o

NJ moves to privatize lottery sales, marketing
Four companies interested in running portions of the New Jersey Lottery attended a mandatory information session in Trenton last Thursday, the first step toward privatization. The state Treasury Department is looking to hand over sales and marketing operations to a private vendor next year. help with annuity rates of return vs. CD returns
Good point. CD rates can change. This brings up another point: If the interest rates do rise, then it would be probable that the lottery annuities rates of return would also rise comparably. - According to the PA lottery website.. The annuities are provided by companies who win the annuity contract. There are several companies trying to get the annuity contracts, so they naturally will offer the most attractive rates... that means their rates will correlate closely with the Fed interest

Where would you invest your winnings?
When I was younger, I would have taken the Annuity. If I won a jackpot, I would not be obsessed with getting rich, as I would ALREADY be rich. All I would have to do is avoid disaster and stupidity. These days, I'm torn, although I would love to have the opportunity to agonize over the decision! Why I like the annuity: 1) A PB jackpot is guaranteed by the member states, so even if the underlying annuity investment failed, they would fulfill the contract. More than that, the inves
