NC Cash 5
The most I got was $279 and have never came close since....missed my number not too long ago....would have gotten 4 out of 5...I carry the clipping from the paper to remind me to play that number every day now or most of the ones in the list.
The number I won with was a qp.....it was when they were having the contest for the mustang and I bought $5 worth of tickets at Foodlion and that night I got it and it was so weird...the numbers were in order as they came out of the machine.....same on m

Costa Rica court rejects washed lottery ticket
Exactly, Anyone can claim they washed their ticket in the washing machine and apparently, quite a few have made that claim. Can it happen? Sure. I believe some people are telling the truth, but if one wants to avoid losing out on a lot of money, people need to start taking better care of their tickets. Don't just shove your tickets in your pockets or whatever. Put them in a safe place. You never know when one of those slips of paper will be worth thousands or millions of dollars. Treat your tick

Lottery ticket has all the numbers, but 7 seconds late
I find it interesting that a few posters on this lottery site would side with the lottery on this issue. Basicially we are all trying to be in that guys shoes. If the cut-off time for that night's drawing was 9 pm there should have been at the least a 5 minute gap before tickets for the next drawing could be printed. This way there's no confusion, the clerk says tonight's drawing is closed you can purchase tickets for the next drawing in a couple of minutes. Jeez you know how many jackpots go un

Lottery ticket has all the numbers, but 7 seconds late
I usually get aggrivated when people try to take advantage of the system, but I can't say I'd be doing anything different if I were in this guy's shoes. There have been plenty of times I went in to buy tickets late, simply because I work in another state and can't get home in time some evenings. If he was intending in purchasing tickets for that evening's drawing, and it was machine lag that caused the ticket to be late, I hope he gets it. Everyone else would do the same thing if they were i

Here Is The Proof Your Lottery, Mega Millions and Powerball is Cheating You
If they never test the machine, what are they going to do when it breaks half way though a live draw?
If you bet on a basketball game, you do so BEFORE the warm-ups which take place moments before the game, correct? What if your star player breaks his ankle in pre-game practice? Well you had no way to know that might happen either, but the team still needs to warm up to try and ensure everything will go as smoothly as possible for the big game.
My understanding is that when you buy your $1

So close!
Congrats Pac!!
With a prize greater than $600, I think you have to file a claim form and they'll mail you a check. The lottery machine should print a validation certificate when you redeem it. Be sure to keep both the original lottery ticket and validation cert. If you live near a Fla. Lottery location you can probably just drop it off there. (Maybe they'll hand you a check on the spot?)

How many mistakes do you KNOW were winners?
I sell lotto tickets and off all the mistakes I've seen at my point of sale, none have won anything. I've even bought a few.
and the lotto [ticket] machine does not spit out the winning numbers, the drawing machine does .

How many mistakes do you KNOW were winners?
I bought a pre-printed Powerball ticket at Ashland, Orgeon for $3.00 but I did not win.
Like someone said, you must be at the right time, and at the right place. The lottery machine will spit out the winning numbers. That crucial moment is all you need to win whether it is a mistake or not.

An Ethical Dilemma...
This is something I faced over the weekend, and I'm curious to see how some of you would have handled it.
So say you walk up to the automated lottery ticket purchase machine at your nearby grocery store (if you don't have such machines where you live, pretend you do). It's a machine where you can buy Mega Millions tickets, Super Lotto tickets (the state lotto here in CA), etc. You stick your $5 in, with the intention of buying five quick picks for the next Mega Millions drawing. But what's th
