number system
There was an article last year about a state getting on a company selling numbers. The company was selling lottery numbers that they claimed improved players chances of winning and the state banned them from advertising in their state unless they could prove their claims.

Man arrested after snatching lottery tickets from player
I read the article entirely different then with a scoff. THe dude robbed her and all people can say stuff about are the tickets. Yes, lets disregard the lady and disregard the system that allows us to have police available to aide the public. Im more shocked at the responses then I am at the unfortunate circumstance this lady endured.

Police seize winning lottery ticket bought with drug money
Perhaps you don't know, but society is plagued by many problems resulting from gambling. KY Floyd, I just noticed this response to my comment, and I'm not going to spend an hour defending it. Both your comments and Rick's have nothing to do with the article or the reason the man was arrested. He was NOT arrested for possession. Rick is talking about the right to put whatever we want into our bodies (I'm wasn't arguing that point) and you are comparing selling drugs to drinking alcohol and g

Police seize winning lottery ticket bought with drug money
Do the police/judges have the right to seize anything and everything allegedly bought with drug money? There is seemingly no limit to this type of RICO seizure - I have read accounts of boats and cars being confiscated because a joint was found in them. They can literally take anything they feel like that the guy has. I also have very little faith that items of monetary value will be disposed of properly. The Boston Globe ran a big article recently about all the drug evidence that disappeared fr

LP "Ponderables"
That's because the authors of all those different books were interpreting dreams from their own expertise in the field. Konane showed a good article in her blog. Deepak Chopra was the author of this article. The article's subject revolved around accountability of our lives. How to recede from the ways of thinking like self absorbtion and worry. And interpreting comes to mind. Deepak is basically saying that how someone interprets their experiences and acts accordingly depends on how they reac

Lottery ticket thief sentenced
No, the article said a clerk at the store told her it was a winner. The owner of the ticket left it there because she was excited or forgetful or something. She realized later she had left it and went back to retrieve it. That's when the perp, the store manager, five-fingered it.
