Announcing Winners to the public?
I would be far more comfortable with your suggestion then the way it is now if i was given a option. But my first choice is it stays between the lottery, IRS and winner. Press gets a hold of it there goes privacy...public gets a hold of it there goes privacy plus it potentially lands in dangerous hands with ill intent. What would be better is if the lottery oversaw that release of info to the public. You have to come to the lottery office, get you pic taken and provide your ID info likewise on y

Pa. lawmaker wants to give lottery winners right to remain anonymous
Anonymity is completely logical. Say you've had a succesful enough career that you live exactly where you want to live in the house you've grown to love. You win the lottery and they release your name, your city, the location of where you purchased your ticket and now it''ll take 30 seconds for someone to find you. As I pointed out to my father the other night, if I win the lottery what's to stop people who know of me going to their house to pester my family about my money when it's got nothing

Pa. lawmaker wants to give lottery winners right to remain anonymous
I don't think it'll ever go dark. There are plenty of people out there who relish the spotlight and want their 15 minutes. Idaho Lottery does not require photos or any publicity other than releasing name and city, but go to their web page and it's plastered with photos of people winning up to 100K. A LEO won a few hundred thou a couple years ago, and he did the televised interview and photo ops.
Anybody up to research whether any big winners in anonymous states have chosen to release their na

Very cool to have this resource. I noticed in the report for the $25 game, MILLIONAIRE, that they show 22 top prizes of a million, but there are only 19 listed. I wonder if that also means that they know these tickets were sold but not claimed.... And now seeing this really ticks me off-- so many games ended without all the top prizes being claimed. Man, I hate to complain but we really are fools for playing these games. The odds are bad enough, then they don't even release all the winners and e

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I usually don't have luck with the new scratchers -- typically no decent winners until a month or two after their release but today
I snagged $1k on the new silver 7's. 4x $100 and 3x symbol for $200. My 3rd $1000 hit in 2 months. I'd say I just about broke even with all the money I threw down the drain donated to our lovely schools.

NJ Powerball winner wants his old life back
This is why I'd ask the lottery to hold off on the press release/conference (whatever it is they do for people who refuse to do publicity, which is allowed here) until after I was onboard a flight out of the country. Go ahead blood suckers, show up in my driveway, send letters, etc. Ain't gonna bother me none!
I'm certainly not going on Good Morning America or whatever so everyone knows what I look like. I know how to say no, but reducing the number of times I have to is just more effici

Sorry to see everyone struggling with this game--it has been the best new release game I have ever played! Perhaps it is just my particular area, but it has honestly been a lot of fun, if I get one that loses, the next one at the next store is a hundred dollar winner. I don't know, it is just hitting for me. I've hit that five hundred, 2 two hundreds, a couple hundreds. I'm getting at most 3 off a particular roll, and am yet to lose on all 3. In fact, the 500 and the 200's were all accpanied by
