kentucky and computerized draws
I voted yes . This is the future. Like any business (and the lottery is in one aspect a business...it is one of the few govt-run venues where they actually expect to make a profit to stay valid, as opposed to just tax and spend ) they will know that cutting costs is one of the ways that you heighten the Bottom Line. Not televising drawings -- because with RNG there is nothing to televise) saves hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. Eventually, they won't be able to cut costs at som

Now this is News worthy...Brad Duke
People who rent would think that is the case, which is why many renters complain when they see their rent increase the next year. FYI: If I had purchased my home 10 years ago, I would have paid about $120,000 for it; today, the same houses in my neighborhood are selling for $260,000 - $300,000. If you drive a car, you would know that you could have bought a gallon of premium unleaded gas 10 years ago for about $1.00; today that same blend of gas is selling for over $3.00, even $4.00 out west

Powerball offers 10X multiplier this month
For the usual powerplay structure the expected payout is 3.5 times the base prize. By swapping a 5x for a 10X the expected payout goes up to 4.125 times the base prize. That means they can expect to pay out an extra 17.8% in prize money, and if it doesn't increase sales of powerplay enough they'll be losing money compared to the usual powerplay. If the previous try had increased sales by almost enough, I expect they would have tried again much sooner. I'd guess that they're simply hoping that

If Your State Pre-Test's its Draws List it here
The statistician they use (and there's a reason they use a statistician and not just somerun of the mill government bureaucrat) won't think 1,2,3,4,5 means there's a problem, but what if he did? If it's a pre-test it doesn't matter whether or not they think there's a problem. It's a test and the outcome doesn't determine the winning numbers. Your combination turning up in the pre-test is exactly like a combination you didn't play coming up in the real drawing: you don't win. Simple as that, and

Damn, I keep putting all the right numbers on the wrong lines...
I'm still experimenting, tonight I reduced the pool for the five numbers and increase the bonus number pool and I matched the bonus ball and had only one of the other balls in my pool so the best I could do was 0+1 in 24 lines. I seem to hit the bonus ball when I give myself a 50/50 chance of hitting it. I tend to think I can't afford to spend as much as I did when the jackpot isn't a record amount but if I won as much as I played or more most of the time then I probably could afford to pl

Party leader wants to repeal Okla. Lottery
Daxon also says an increase in gaming in the state has led to a variety of social problems. Ok ..... any specifics? Maybe he's referring to folks buying lottery tickets on Sunday. You know, you aren't suppose to buy lottery tickets on Sunday! HEHEHE!! Share your thoughts.

Todd's Deflate and Inspector Filters and Stats Tools.
Great!, when the filters study is complete, I'll look forward to the Blackapple update. I think that will be a very useful study. Also, I am very familiar with the statement from her research and applying it to her software for pick 5 was very useful at the time. It is still fundamental today. An an example, one will increase their probabilities when they find patterns that statistically happen most often but is currently on an extended vacation. dK

If I reduce the MM or PB number pool by half and play 3o2e/3e2o...(?)
probability isn't an exact science and never will be since you are trying to predict a future outcome. Probability is an exact science. You're just confused about what it can predict . It doesn't predict future events. It describes probabilities. There's a reason we don't refer to the laws of certainty or the laws of what's definitely going to happen . probability can reduce certain variables but it can never be counted on as completely accurate. Probability can't reduce any

Damn, I keep putting all the right numbers on the wrong lines...
You got REALLY close! 4 of 5 does sounds close, doesn't it? You only need one more ball plus the mega ball. The problem is that 4+0 is more than 11,000 times as likely as matching 5+1. If you had an absolute guarantee of matching 4+0 on every drawing you could still only expect to match 5+1 about once every 110 years. In that case, the smart strategy (assuming you were making a profit on the 4+0 wins, of course) would be to forget about the jackpot and bet each of your lines multiple ti
