Sales increase as Lottery adds new games
While the number of games has expanded and receipts have greatly increased, the basic structure of the New York Lottery and its mission have remained relatively unchanged over the four decades it has been running, lawmakers and state officials say.
The games, then and now, siphon money away from illegal gambling and help to pay for schools. The lottery was approved by voters, at the urging of then-Gov. Nelson Rockefeller, in a referendum to amend the state constitution in 1966.

CASHLESS ONLY: "Flip & Switch"
Greg, I agree in part to your summation. It does lead one to beleive that the rollover should be at 50K increase...which isnt the case in this matter...maybe its a typo on the site or tabulation from the webmaster....10k and 100k are just one zero away!
I do think considering the fact it had MORE players hitting and winning something this draw that at least more folks are winners! So really, isnt part of the fun in playing...to win something? I am not ALWAYS looking for the GRAND PRIZE, but

Illinois Is Putting Lottery on Block for Quick Payoff
That would be interesting. If a private company does own the lottery will then increase payouts as a way to compete in the marketplace? I mean lotteries pay on average 50% back as prizes because of the way the lottery was set up but if someone else gets their hands on it will that change? It seems like a scetchy plan though. The money would be nice now but putting a state ran operations in the hands of private companies could lead to many problems if the private owners have complete control

woke me up out of my sleep
Good Morning can some help me to interpret this dream. I very seldom remeber my dreams but this one scared the crap out of me.
I dreamt that I was flying on a commercial airliner. It was a very smooth flight and a clear and sunny day. All of a sudden the pilot come on and says ladies and gentlemen we are about to recieve our first.... and as he said that the plane flipped upside-down and we started a very visious decent. I looked around me and saw everyone upside down in their chairs with a

Can Anyone Rig the Lottery?
I've heard what you all are saying. It is actually good news for me because I can rely on my system instead of going with a totally random number.
My other theory is that you cannot increase you odds - consistently i guess. If you try to shut the window the door opens. If you try to close the door the window opens. It will be interesting to see how my new system impact winning.
Take for example, I am consciously expecting a repeat or adjacent number from powerball and all of a sudden it ch

[C++ Code]A Quick Pick generator for PowerBall and Mega Miilions
I would like to state that the elimination of 3 consecutive numbers in your picks is a gimme strategy when picking numbers playing the lottery. For the PowerBall:
Elimination of all sets that have 3 consecutive numbers when taking ONLY the five white balls into consideration covers 1.94396798% of the possible combinations(ignoring the PowerBall).
Elimination of all sets that have 3 consecutive numbers when taking the five white balls AND the PowerBall into consideration covers 0.0462849519

How Many Tickets Per Drawing DO You Buy
I'm with the majority. I always play my 4 Florida Lotto cards Wed and Sat for a total of $8. Even if I were in a coma, I'd find a way. I really shouldn't, but occasionally I'll get a QP or 2, but $10 or $12 is my maximum for the week.

Have You Had A Hit, Yet!
I've hit several times this year playing online. Mostly pick 3 (11 hits this week so far with one straight). I did get a box hit in the pick 4 today online. My pick 4 numbers haven't been doing well, but I'm working on it. I think I will increase my hit ratio for the pick 4 soon. This revised system I'm watching seems to be better than before.
I noticed you were from PA and I should add that PA is a really tough state for me to get a hit from.
I don't play it in the pick 3, but I do in the

Gang 'used 007-style gadgets' to cheat casinos
The greed part is what gets me...if you were going to devise a plan like this, you need to throw a few hands to keep them off your trail. Just increase a bet down the road to get your money back, that's all. But not right after you lose one...or maybe that is one way to throw them off. You lose a bet, then being a stupid gambler, you double your bet to try and get it back. OH! Wow! I won that one...lucky me!
That is stupidity right there with the greed.
I agree with GameGrl in that they
