Wow! Three of the top 5 prizes in one area (which they didn't mention in the article). Congrats to all the winners big and small!

Student wins lottery, leaves school
I'd say it's sad to think that dropping out of school means quitting your education, or to think that the limited amount of information in the article offers any basis for forming a realistic opinion. None of us has a clue whether or not he plans to return later, go to school elsewhere, or educate himself without the benefit of college.

Student wins lottery, leaves school
This is in China and the article said the per capita income in urban areas is $1900 a year, and less in rural areas? He'd probably regret it if he moved to the US and thought he could live the rest of his life on that, but it appears to be more than enough to be reired in China. Of course there was nothing inth earticle to indicate that he has any plans to retire or skip a colege education.

Student wins lottery, leaves school
I keep forgetting that Red China has a Lottery. Why is it called the Welfare Lottery? Meantime, only 6 or so miles away from here, someone won Mega Millions, and other than seeing the jackpot reset and a brief article in the local Paper the day after, you would have no idea, nor is there any information anywhere if any one came forward yet or who it is. Even at the store itself there are no banners up, no news reporters camped out, and it is eerily quiet there.

Best jackpot advice yet
I just read where Britney Spears makes AND SPENDS almost $800,000 PER MONTH! I dunno how accurate the article is, but it says she does not save nor invest a penny of that income. If I were her, I'd start getting a little worried tho, because it's questionable just how long her income will continue if the rumors are true that her career is on the skids.

Don't buy lottery tickets for kids, researcher warns
Why would anyone buy children lottery tickets? I assume the article is referring to underage children, so that would be the same as buying them beer. There isn't anything wrong with the item, but the fact that the person could not legally purchase either on his/her own.

Woman duped by fake lottery ticket
http://my.earthlink.net/article/str?guid=20071223/476deb50_3ca6_1552620071223-94629561 I saw an interesting article today. A woman who received a scratch off ticket from a concession stand thought she won $25,000 only to find out it was a joke ticket. To read the rest of the story just go to the above link. The back of the ticket said: Claim forms supplied by Santa Claus. All winning tickets must be validated by the tooth fairy and conform to her game rules ... All winners are losers and

Found this surfing the web, Interesting article!!
Readers should be aware that the article was written for people in Texas, which is a community property state. While most of the information likely applies elsewhere as well, not everything will. Those playing the lottery in non-community property states, especially, will find a few differences. It is my understanding that there are only nine community property states: Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
