Scratchers - counter or vending machine?
I voted doesn't matter. I've won equally from the counter or the machine. What little there was I won . I think scratchoffs should disappear. Sometimes they don't even pay you out if you win a larger prize. I know a lady who won but she kept her ticket for a long time and when she went to cash it out they couldn't pay her because the prize had already been cashed in by someone else first. I'm assuming they only set aside a certain amount for the bigger winners and it's first come, first served.

Was I discriminated against for playing lotto?
Yes, I believe this was a case of discrimination, and it has happened to me a few times when I'm waiting to purchase a ticket. That's why I avoid gas stations, although many people like to buy or redeem their tickets at them. I've been waiting at the lottery machine at a supermarket too and they'll handle a customer complaint first, even if I've been standing in line longer. The only other explanation might be that the clerk was waiting until she got more change in the register, if she only

Maryland Lottery machine glitches frustrate players
It's not the machine that's sensitive too heat, it's the ticket. It's printed on thermal paper.
And it is the machine used in Oklahoma, it's called the Extrema. It's also used in SC, ME, NH, VT, IA, and CO.

Is the Lottery (PB/MM) corrupt?
All lotteries are rigged. I only play the mega millions because you never know when you'll get a fluke.
When you purchase a ticket, your number combination is logged and uploaded to the lottery system.
Its basically a simple database running on a UNIX OS where you can query it....similarly the way the assume information about you and send you junk mail. The database has a hot number, which is the lottery number in it. This lottery number is stored in every machine. If people pick automati

Do you NEED to win the Lottery?
If I NEEDED a win, I am sure I would have found some other use for the last dollar... I play for fun, usually just 1 ticket unless the jackpot hits dream status (for me, cash value in excess of 20 million... PB is there now ;-) )I work and so does Mrs. SoniQ... it would be great to have time together more often, to have nicer things (like a new zip code on the beach in South Carolina in exchange for this dreary PA rural town)... I have been bitten by NAFTA 3 times so far... went from a mach

$113 million Powerball winner may be a regular player
fja wrote:<< No such thing as a really stupid sysytem that works ! >> There's no such thing as a system that works, period. If your chosen system happens to result in picking the numbers that get drawn that's great, but it's just a matter of luck. If 1% of players pick their numbers based on some manipulation of the lot code from a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup, then it's a safe bet that about 1% of winners will have picked their numbers based on lot codes from cans of Campb

Stolen lottery ticket trial underway in Chicago
She was found guilty...the circunstances led the jury that way and the defense's story was garbage. Pathetic what can happen to people's judgement when clouded by greed. What I learned from this case: never trust another person to check your tickets for you. I check all my tickets online myself each day. When I have a winner I already know what I am getting paid. Another dumb thing some people do is give your unsigned tickets to the store clerks to check for you by running them through the Lott

Hey, I got 4 of 5 on one ticket, MB on
Last Friday a week ago I had: 3+bonus, 2+bonus, 1+bonus and 0+bonus. This was using an algorithm I nicknamed Big Blue . I also have QP type algorithms when I want to play more than a few tickets for a big drawing. I have the program loaded on a portable device so I can generate numbers anyplace I want and it can switch between 4 different states. This drawing I had one Bonus Ball on one ticket. It was played as a machine generated QP and it was from the Leprechaun News (where the last big jackpo

"Taping" in advance & Conspiracy Theories
There is a reason that skepticism exist, it keeps some folks grounded. Its plausible to conceive and venture on the realm of possibilities. I have pondered the theory more on a geographical level. More like the commission knows in advance which *machine* will spew the winning ticket. So all the other states just promote for revenue. Meanwhile some cute little rural town that had been hit by a bad crop that year gets a sole winner! Thereby they get the fifteen minutes of fame along with a good ol

Those who win a lottery
I was just thinking that no matter how hard we are working on finding the way to win, jackpots are usually won by lucky 'lottery-strangers' who just stopped by to buy a ticket with random numbers without any predicting and calculating stuff. Did anyone ever hear of any winner who actually hit the jackpot using his 'strategy'. Almost all the stories say that it was pure luck and often the numbers were even randomly picked by the machine.I guess if anyone ever create a system of how to win, then l
