mega millions vs. powerball
No. But I think they ought to adjust all the state boundaries in such a way as to make both easily available to all players by only driving a short distance. Increase the number of states 10 fold or so to accomodate better consumer access to the lotteries.
Failing that, I think they ought to abolish both and go back to mob-run numbers games.

MM Megaplier
Frankly I don't like spending an extra dollar for a game. We don't have MM in Florida, but Fantasy 5 has EZ Match. At first it was very popular and the jackpots increase quite a bit, but I think less people now are spending the extra dollar. I could be wrong, because millions of snowbirds left in May which also has an effect on the lottery. I agree with Prob that it's better to just buy more tickets. If the Matrix changes, I would never play MM or PB. The odds are too high now. What's wrong wi

Powerball everyday...
If Powerball continues to grow into other states do you think they will set it up so it plays everday or 5 times a week or they will just add numbers and increase the starting jackpot? What's wrong with a Powerball or megamillions playing everyday or 5 times a week? Would such a game prosper/survive?It they were true, it will be rolling over and over anyways. I wish they played it 5 times a week; I am sure it will be a different scenario. What you all think.

The Meaning of Random Drawing
I realized the balls may be a different set, but there's nothing I can do about that. I assume that balls were changed in the past and effected what I've observed so if I continued to observe the reoccurring of an event then changing the balls must not effect it.
For example when I play MegaMillion, I can't afford to play all the megaballs so I definitely don't play 25 because it has not come up in the last 165 drawings. 90% of winning megaballs have been drawn in the previous 125 drawings,

Is it legal...
If you got a pick 3/4 lottery that pays a fair payout with fair odds, you only have to have 1 draw per day. Theres a fortune to be made because people are no longer satisfied playing the state lotteries for low payouts and as I said those lotteries are too hard for most people to win. If people could actually win more often they would be even more willing to play more often.
The secret is to make a pick 3/4 lottery that is EASIER to win than the state lotteries or Increase the payouts

Math Questions
About 1::253.0
There are 41,416,353 different possibilities in a 5/47+1/27 matrix. There are 1,533,939 possibilities in a 5/47 matrix alone, and any given number will appear 163,185 times, yielding odds of about 1::9.4. Adding the +1/27 would yield the same number of possibilities but increase the odds to 1::253.

Doubles: Take The Bull By The Horns
You know this same concept of putting the mates, mirrors totals into groups can also be done with 6 way #'s as well. I am in no way suggesting to take all of the 6 way #'s do this.
However, get a copy of the results page each day, at least write the mirror next to the #. Pretty soon you will be able to organize a lookup the info will be right there all together, you will be able to see at a glance the states that get mirror #'s of other states vice versa. what states get their own

Top House leader balks at plan to use Pa. lottery for tax relief
A top Pennsylvania House leader has doubts about a key element of a property tax relief plan, threatening to complicate a legislative panel's efforts to produce an acceptable compromise.
House Republican leader Sam Smith, of Punxsutawney, said yesterday he didn't like the idea of transferring about $240 million from the state lottery fund to provide property tax and rent rebates this year for senior citizens.
I am not comfortable with borrowing money from the Lottery Fund this year, he t

Mega Millions & Tuesday the 18th
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on April 19, 2006Maybe at least RJOH got lucky. I'm just wondering why it can't break 300. It seems every game has had at least one run to a large jackpot except megamillions. At least it saves me money to wait until it breaks 300.
lol As I've said before, players like you won't be playing very often because it's more likely Powerball or Mega Millions will be won before hitting $100 million than Powerball or Mega Millions breaking $300 million, and that's

Unclaimed Jackpots
The money from unclaimed prizes apparently does go back to players. The following is from the Washington State lottery website:
What happens to unclaimed prizes?
By law, all unclaimed prizes must be given back to Lottery players. The Lottery director can approve a larger increase of the Lotto Jackpot or do special promotions, such as a Buy Five, Get One Free offer, to return these unclaimed prizes to players.
