Hoosier Lottery insists computers are better than ball drawings
They have brass on their side, the lottery racket admins. They also have a lot of gullibility on th part of lottery ticket buyers. It's a strange phenomenon. I've never seen a casino keno game, other than slot-machine keno, drawn by computer. My suspicion is that casinos have no illusions that players trust them any more than they deserve. But the lotteries haven't endured enough human weakness and public scandals (yet) to bring the general public into the same mindset. The fact that when the

Gold/Platinum Memberships
I don't want to pressure anyone into upgrading their membership. If you feel that the site gives you either the help and/or enjoyment commensurate with the price of upgrading, then that's great. If not, that's totally your choice. Some people just feel that anything they do on the Internet should be totally free, and I respect that. The one thing I would not do is to draw a comparison between buying lottery tickets and upgrading a Lottery Post membership, since they are not even close in terms o

fantasy five help
Ive noticed that with pretty much all pick-5 games, about 90 percent of the lowest numbers are between 1 and 10. So if you write 1-10, vertically on a sheet of paper, and fill in the rest of your picks, you will have one number right about 90 percent of the timeexample only use your own numbers.1-12-17-22-362-14-18-30-313-11-12-19-284-15-18-20-235-20-22-25-316-9-19-24-26-337-10-16-18-248-12-21-25-269-21-29-30-3510-14-17-34-36do not use quick picks to fill in the remaining 4 numbers, because if yo

New machines for the new Mega Millions?
It must be a NJ thing. Here in Washington state I can pick the Mega ball myself and have the computerpick the rest or I can pick 1,2,3,4,5, white balls and have the computer pick theMega ball or any number of combinations. The machine will come up with an error because it knows that you have not picked all 6 numbers. When the clerk tells you that there is an error just tell him to hit the quick pick button and it should print a ticket made up of your numbers and the computers numbers. As far as a s

Store owners sell themselves $25.5 million Powerball lottery ticket
I don't think they should be able to win... NOT FROM THE SAME STORE. They could be very honest people BUT who's to say that store owner doesn't tell some person, who isn't that bright that they did'nt win and then claim the ticket for themselves? I think at minimum they should have to play at other stores, winning from your own store is very suspect in my book even if the deal is competely clean. I know I would be double checking my tickets if I went in there to have them check by the machine. I

Lottery ticket plucked from trash wins $100,000
Quote: Originally posted by RJOh on February 17, 2005Quote: Originally posted by tg636 on February 17, 2005But if I toss that $100,000 because the person working the lottery machine tells me it's not a winner and is worthless, that's not dropping $100,000 in the street. That's making a real effort to ask someone representing the lottery if it's a winner and not getting the correct answer. When you speak with a clerk working in the place where you buy your lottery tickets, you're not speaking to s

History to be made tomorrow!
Tomorrow, the Florida Lottery will officially end their long-standing relationship with IGT and will begin using the very popular GTech technology. They have used IGT's online system since the lottery began in 1988. GTech's terminals are much more capable, and the Florida Lottery is taking advantage with the itroduction of Grouper . But for me it's a little sad to see FL's relationship with IGT end. I remember very fondly the beautiful single-play tickets those terminals printed out. It had pai

CONTEST: What's the best punch line?
Two guys are standing in line to buy lottery tickets. One guy is boiling mad and grumbling about how he can't win enough money because the lottery is rigged. The other guy is a little puzzled by it all and asks, If you're so sure that the lottery is rigged, why do you keep playing it? The disgruntled fellow answers, Because I love the sound the machine makes when it punches it out a ticket. Oh wait, here it goes again......I LOVE IT. Give me one more.

I just broke the mold on quick picks
Quote: Originally posted by Rick G on November 20, 2004I just got back from buying my 5/39 quck pick and I have to share this with you. The machine gave me 5 consecutive digits. There are only 34 consecutive combinations out of a possible 575,757 combinations. I bought another quick pick to cover my bases. This was worth the price of the ticket and I think I'll tuck it under my box of Lucky Charms.Has this ever happened to anyone else?I seldom if ever buy quick picks, so no, But I note that

Caught NJ Midday Twice
Congrats Todd! Kind of unusual to see a duplicate QP but there it is...... question on 15 Sept you have 2 tickets showing as QP's how did you generate a boxed and straight with different serial numbers with the same numbers on both tickets !?! That is weird! Never saw a machine do that before. I sometimes play QP's boxed and then what ever comes out I will play it STR also. NY must be different than NJ.Mink404SkiQuote: Originally posted by Todd on October 11, 2004CHeck out my winning ticket pa
