Lottery winners support on the Euromillions
The UK Lottery offers winners financial advice, and points them in the right direction to get additional financial and legal advice. It is not conditional on going public, you can always remain anonymous, most do.

Lottery winners support on the Euromillions
Hi folks,
Merry Christmas to you all
I have done a bit of research on the Euromillions lottery this week because a lot of winners choose to go public even tough they have option to remain anonymous. I can't think of any plusides of going public can you? On there website it says if you choose to go public you will receive support...What kinde of support? How I should invest and deal with the press? I don't have to deal with the press if I remain anonymous it's a bit of a joke if you ask m

Do you play a lottery other than your state lottery?
My daughter goes to Eastern Michigan Univ and I sometimes take a quick trip to OH to play when I visit her. I like to play there (and hopefully win) because you can remain anonymous if you win.

Has any member won more than $100K paying Lotto?
Not yet.... But I would also agree that if you get your face out there you're more likely to get bothered. The more anonymous the better if you ask me but im the silent type :)

Anyone in LP ever won the 'Big Jackpot'?
I think that there are LP members who would love to come onto LP and share their happiness. Not to brag about their win. They would be anonymous.

Puerto Rico joins Powerball today
Here's a poor translation of their Powerball FAQ:
ANONYMOUS IF I WIN THE LOTTERY?
The number 10 of May 24, 1989 Act, as amended provides that the identity of the winners of the Lotto is protected. This also applies to the Powerball game in Puerto Rico.
It seems it's possible to remain anonymous.
I can't find any info on whether PR taxes lottery winnings at a different rate than income - I do know up to $10k prizes are tax free. Here's an article about the 1% moving to the island

Irish winners anonymously claim €86m EuroMillions jackpot
Yes, they are very sensible to remain anonymous. US State Lotteries should give winners the same right. Requiring winners to go public puts them under enormous pressure and many can't handle it.

California nail technician wins $228M Powerball jackpot
Well, if I were a conspiracy theorist, and I wanted people to think that I wasn't out of my mind (even though most people would see through it and realize that I was in fact out of my mind), I would certainly argue for anonymous prizes. This was I could claim that Obama was winning every prize in California.

Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $180 million
I haven't played the lottery in at least a couple years. I would like to play, but only in a state where I can be anonymous.
