Suggested QP VS Choosing Survey Project
MegaWinner - I don't think you are supposed to copy images from a State site.
Anyway, last evening 10 Fantasy 5 winners hit and all ten used their own numbers if the FL site is correct.
Thanks, Carbob. The second link doesn't work for me, but if I can always just go to the FL website. I still don't know if it matters, Coin Toss. In both cases (picking your own or QP) the player is betting on an event that hasn't yet taken place. If the picks were computerized then the computer might e

Tenn. players picked up on new odds before lottery revealed glitch
OK. I get your point. But again, there's at least 13 states with all computer drawings, and several more that are real close. Hot Lotto is computerized, and if Powerball went that way... but enough about that.
If we're comparing apples to apples, is it fair to compare this quarter to last quarter? Is that just revenues in the state games, or all sales? Couldn't the size of the Powerball jackpot have something to do with that?
Surely they took a hit after the snafu, so I would ass

Poll #4
Just as I thought, my poll gets pushed back to secondary forum, and no one votes as a result.
Well, it looks like I have to make the sole and tie-breaking vote, and that goes to WI Megabucks.
Why? Well, I do realize I'm picking a computerized game over a ball-drawn game, but the draw method, as important as that is, wasn't quite enough to bring PR Loto into favor with me. First of all, WI Megabucks offers two plays for $1, that means more play value. Also, WI Megabucks gives out $2 for 3

if your state went computerized
How does one find out if they live in a state where the drawings are done via computer? Is Florida computerized?
Thanks,
Cory

The Meaning of Random Drawing
This is a good question, Shane. This subject was brought up before, but I'm not sure it was a poll. I remember when I first got onto this board another member posted that something random cannot be defined. I thought that was an interesting statement. At first I always thought that each number has an equal chance of being picked. This should hold true for every lottery pick that isn't computerized, which is why I am against any computerized drawing. But obviously if they keep changing ballsets

Texas Lottery audit finds security flaws
Bulldinky... I don't understand what all the fuss is about... if someone got into their computer how would that help someone to predict future drawings when they are not computerized draws? At most they might know which specific draw machine will be used next but the advantage thus gained would be microscopic, if any.
The audit also addressed concerns raised by former and current lottery employees about the agency's ability to operate after a disaster.
This means what, the survivors of

Um Pisssed! MO is bad!
I stopped playing right after they went computerized. There is absolutely nothing random about computer drawings. I even sent them a letter asking them how much money they lost going computerized and I told them not to include the sales from the new midday drawing. She ignored the question and sent some pre-written BS for her answer. So, I sent the question to her again after I told her she ignored the real question I ask, and I wanted a straight answer this time. she said sales were up and I lo

i was just thinking about this.
Now here is my question, since the lottery is random did you become a millionair the second you got your ticket or the second the last number came out of the machine?
So you must be asking if the lottery really is random. After all, anything based soley on chance can't be predetermined. If the drawing is not computerized, then 1/2 of a second could change which balls are drawn, right? Look at the Olympics. Everytime somebody loses by a 100th of a second (I can't blink that fast) it chan

if your state switched would you play?
I voted "no....i i don't trust computerized draws." I would have voted "HELL NO!!" (for extra emphasis), but that wasn't one of the choices.
With no lottery here in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee are "my states," as far as playing the lottery goes. If any of those states tried to switch to computer drawings, I would join the fight against it.
