Software vs Paper-and-Pencil
As there are quite a few commercially available software packages available to pick you numbers daily, I was just curious whether more people here use software or paper-and-pencil systems (either their own, or someone else's) to pick their daily numbers. Personally, after much trial and error, I find that I get better results with paper-and-pencil systems (which I seem to constantly be modifying).

North Carolina 4/1 - 4/30
Welcome to the LP Concerned....If I had a sure fire number for the lottery pick 3 tonight...be assured that everyone in NC would come very close to breaking the BANK...I would be shouting it from the roof tops, but with any system you use, it trial and error.

New Year - New Money (All States) 1/13 to 1/19
Ochoop17, At first I thought that you had posted the above to the wrong thread in error. I see that you have posted another reply to this thread. I honestly welcome all comments and observations about the original message however they should be relevant to the original post. I believe that when LP members offer their suggestions and observations as they relate to a particular thread, we all learn from them. I would really appreciate it if you would limit your responses in this thread to

What the Heck? PA's Web Site!
Not sure. although I have got errors with the site many times before, like the 500 one, and 400 something. Maybe it goes down for maintenance, but I don't understand the IP error. Almost makes it seem as though you were banned lol. It is not like you can't view the results anywhere else, but I like to view the payouts and it is more convenient there.

Quick Picks can't match the power of Self Picks
It's not at all meaningless, and though you seem to have missed it, by bringing up election polls you're acknowledging with my point. Election polls typically look at thousands of voters. A poll of a few hundred has a margin of error that's bigger than the split in typical elections, and therefore offers no useful information. If you want statistics that are valid you'll need to look at a few thousand QP's and self picks side by side.

Full Moon 11/24 Triple watch
thanks for pointing this out. i double checked and seen that triple 2 hit in the evening draw 180 days ago. maybe you were thinking i was referring to the night draw?? i use versabet for my stats. versabet seems to be very accurate, but theres always a possibility of an error or 2.

CBS publishes second hatchet job on lottery
Most polls are slanted. And you have to consider the margin of error as well. And most of all - you have to consider the source. You especially have to be careful of special interest groups. You can pigeon hole just about anything to make a point. If you just fell off a turnip truck you will believe anything and the media and politicians know that. Whether you are within the ignorant masses is what's important.
