You can set up a trust and if you won the lottery, you'd most certainly need a good will. An Estate/Tax Lawyer will advice you on protecting your family and the best way to set it up. We have our Will set up so our children would have needs taken care of, and they would not have any large sums of money until the last of our chilren turns 25 years of age. Reason lots, for those of you over 25...what would you have done,I would have had a nice apartment(would not have wanted a home...none of my fr

you win the jackpot. how far away are you moving?
And beware taking a DNA test when you are not the scammer. The burden of proof is not on you. I will take things that never happened for $500. Just a brief common sense lesson here. Life insurance proceeds go to the designated beneficiaries only (unless a fraudulent policy is alleged but scammers do not go this route). Tell any scammer to go to you know where. Do not disclose to any scammer whether your relative had a will or trust or died intestate (without a will). If your relative

you win the jackpot. how far away are you moving?
Looks like someone stole my story of a false relative claim. Not buying it. An alleged relative would have no claim to a life insurance payout unless they were named as a beneficiary so a DNA test would never be needed. It would be a moot issue. So all that would be needed would be to tell the person to go to you know where. And one cannot look up life insurance paperwork and claims. Life insurance information is private and restricted by law to you, your beneficiaries, and your legal repres

I invite you to take a look at this site: https://www.usamega.com/ Then look at the Jackpot Analysis under both games. Take a good look at the first line regarding the Federal Tax over time for the annuity payments and the sudden extremely large Cash Jackpot Prize. Go down and find your state on the list and like to it notice the SMALLER FEDERAL TAX payments for fed and state taxes. Are you aware that there are about seven states where there are no State Income Taxes and even a few

90-year-old ND woman lost $400K to Jamaican lottery scam — but she was paid back just $287
Older and wiser don't apply to people like her. As they get older wiser stops applying to everybody at some point. Worse a lot of people start to get less wise, or at least worse at thinking clearly than they used to. There's a reason that scammers of almost every breed prey on older people. Lisa, Ron, Tim Jeff are just as culpable Well, duh. They obviously didn't visit her often enough for her to share the great news that she won $19 million in the lottery. Or, equally likely, mayb

Brooklyn man wins court battle to collect entire $10K lottery prize that he won in 2007
Who came up with, and who voted to approve this law? This wasn't a loan. And if they approved for this type of recompense, then why only on lottery winnings? If he'd gotten a job and was given a $10,000 bonus, or received an inheritance, or had penny stocks suddenly turn a massive profit, would those have been garnished? The government treats lottery wins like it's an income and hijacks taxes from it because of that, then they want another bite of it if a winner has ever received assistance?
