2nd lottery bill filed in the Alabama Senate
I feel like this article is posted on LP and reposted every other month. They either get the lottery or THEY DON'T. Does it have to go through this many rounds of legislation?

Alabama senator announces lottery plan
Alabama State Sen. Jim McClendon of Springville is like a bulldog. He never gives up on passing legislation to create a lottery in his State. I wish him success this time.

Alabama lawmakers provide insight into upcoming push for state lottery
Just an idea: If they were to pass lotto legislation, consider making AL an anonymous state. True, transparency is a huge issue with lotto, but it's an idea. I would consider crossing the border if that were the case!

Anyone else hate that some states won't let winners remain anonymous?
In Tx, Gov Abbot signed legislation that allows a person winning a million or more can remain anonymous. The commissioners voted to change the official rules a couple weeks ago. Nice to see, although I wouldn't worry too much about it if I was a jackpot winner.

Lottery-winner secrecy bill dies in Idaho Senate
An Idaho Senate panel has killed legislation that would have allowed lottery winners to hide their identities. The Senate State Affairs Committee on Wednesday voted 8-1 to halt the measure that would have kept the names of individuals who win $600 or more secret. Quebec bill would force Internet firms to block access to online gambling sites
The Devil's Advocate argument to this legislation is that the government does have an interest in legislating morality if the situation involves the mental or physical health and safety of its citizens as a whole. We live in a day and age where the morality and values of society have seriously declined, tending toward Ground 0, and at the rate we're going now in society, how are we going to salvage basic morals, values, virtue, and respect for the value and dignity of human life ?? Even thou

Hi Terry, Who makes the decision to switch from computerized drawings to ball drawings? Is that a lottery director or does some form of legislation have to be enacted to make the switch?
