Lottery KENO (daily or 5-minute)
As if there aren't enough Quick Draw games in a day now. Currently 158 games are played over a course of 13 hours. Reducing the time between games to 4 minutes will increase the number of games from 158 to 197, almost a 25% increase. The only thing I don't care for with the Quick Draw game is that the odds for each of the games are not presented. Only what they call the Overall odds for each of the spot games. ie, the 10 spot game has 7 prize levels to play, pick 10 of 10, 9 of 10, 8 of 10, 7

Odds of Winning
I've been rethinking today how I spend the money in my lottery budget, and I took a look at scratchers for the first time. My initial impression was that the odds of getting something back were favorable -- better than the Lotto games. After reading some of the posts here, I went back and took a closer look. I still think scratchers offer better odds of improving your stake. I went to the New York lottery page and took a look at their scratcher game called One-Eyed Jack. The best odds for an i

odds are odds....regardless of coincidences
If the odds of picking the winning set of numbers is 1 in 1,000,000, then buying two tickets for a game with those odds DOES NOT give you 2 in 1,000,000.Playing the same numbers over and over again does not increase the chances of those numbers being winners. Every time there is a draw those numbers have the same chance of coming up that they had the first time.Further, if some numbers have been winners more often than others, it does not mean they are more likely to come up again as winners. Tickets for updated Mega Millions game on sale Saturday
Under the revamped game, the prizes and odds for matching numbers will be as follows.
Match 1 number + the Mega Ball: $2 (odds are 1 in 56) Match only the Mega Ball: $1 (odds are 1 in 21)
This is the part in the article where I noticed immediately the NEW odds of winning various prizes that are listed are incorrect. How can the Odds of matching ONLY the mega Ball be 1 in 21, if there are only 15 Mega Balls to choose from?? That would be impossbile. Obviously if I play one game

Why Do Mathematicians Consider The Lottery Random
What I was trying to say was that he will lose over time because he is playing 6500 combos for a 65 percent chance of winning 9000 dollars.
9000 to 1 is the maximum payoff odds and you can only get that by betting one number. Since he is betting multiple combinations, the best payoff odds he can expect to get by betting $3000 is 2.75 to 1. I thought the Don't Pass Craps comparison would show the effect when the odds favor a bet and the payoff is fixed. And that's why I said I wouldn't be co

The Odds Are The Reality
Quote: Originally posted by dvdiva on June 29, 2006You are looking at the math error and not getting the point. You still are confusing odds and combinations. There are online dictionaries to look up the differences. Your odds still remain at 1:1000. The combinations are off.
If you spend another $10 so a total of $20 for one drawing it would be 1:50. That would be your math error.
Total odds / unique tickets. To reach 1:1 you would have to cover all 1000. At over 500 tickets your odds wou

Biggest letdown in lottery history - what's yours?
Here comes a free book. Enjoy.
We go on vacationing Florida when we can. We like Destin, but the 30A area is just about our favorite mainland destination. We are most likely to go 75 south to Cordele, GA, then we usually end up on the Georgia Florida Parkway and 300. Also HWY 98 and 30A. If we go to Destin, we usually go down75 South to 85 to 185 to 231 and 331, west on I-10, a little bit of HWY 20 then finally across the toll bridge to 98, but our favorite destination is a small sparsely pop

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Considering the ChatGPT said chances and not odds, maybe I shouldn't mention the difference between how odds for and odds against are calculated.

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
BTW - a normal bias is a fifty fifty split between odds and evens.
In the last 30 drawings there have been 150 balls/numbers drawn. A normal bias would be zero if 75 odds and 75 evens had been drawn. But right now we now have a bias of 11 more evens drawn than normal. (The current split is 64 odds vs 86 evens in the last 30 draws. 86 is plus 11 to 75)
The current bias of +11 evens has been holding at +11 since 9/14/2022 when it was +12. Prior to 9/14/22, on Sept 11th it was +16. (very ra
