How to win the lottery (happily)
I don't want to win hundreds of millions of dollars either. I think with 2 million net, that would be enough for me. I think too much more than that, I'd be looking over my shoulder all the time (anonymous or not)......but the apartment in Paris would remain a dream....lol. I do think the adjustment would take a year.

Maryland Mega Millions jackpot winner claims prize
I hope some of the home state Mega Millions luck rubs off on me someday. The great thing about claiming the prize anonymously, the winner doesn't have to worry about an army of thieves, deadbeats and scammers leading a path to the winner's door. The number rule to asset protection is making sure people don't know you have assets that need protecting in the first place. $309 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot rolls into top 25
All the more reason to keep the winners identities anonymous. When it gets that high I'll be getting my tickets from South Carolina and double down on that by claiming via a trust. The lottery doesn't care about the safety of its players so people need to do whatever they have to to keep themselves safe.

$270 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot keeps growing
My time will come when the jackpot reaches $1 billion. It'll be about $300 million for the lump sum after taxes but still a-okay as long as I remain anonymous.
