Former MD Lottery employee charged with theft of lottery tickets
He sounds like a DSR, a District Sales Rep. They manage their accounts/stores in their area, monitoring sales and handling ticket inventory.
It is probably not direct theft on ticket orders, the store would notice that upon receipt. But I could see an opportunity for fraud when stores return tickets to the DSR. Typically this is done when a game is at end of sales date, or they otherwise have excess that they need to return. In those cases, packs of tickets returned to DSR should be credited

Robert Walsh The Scamster! Feel So Cheated!
Based on the nightmare i went through the first time around with this charlatan, I'd never go back.
I already have 20 strategies to contend with. lol, Learned my lesson the hard way dealing with this fraud. Constant emails with no responses about important issues regarding the many strategies, about 20, was the worst part of the experience.
When you have 20 strategies with no concise explanation on how to choose the correct one at any given time, it just becomes a guessing game once more,

NY brothers claim $5M win from '06 lottery ticket
Two brothers kept quiet for six years about the $5 million winning lottery ticket they'd bought at their parents' store in Syracuse.
Andy N. Ashkar, 34, of Camillus, and his brother, Nayel N. Ashkar, 36, of Cicero, came forward March 1 of this year to claim the $5 million top prize in the $500,000,000 Extravaganza scratch-off game, lottery officials said.
That was 11 days before the prize would've expired.
It's unusual, highly unusual, lottery spokeswoman Carolyn Hapeman said Tuesday o

Did I possibly got scammed by storeclerk?
The KY Lottery ticket scanners give the value of the ticket too. They also have vending machines that give credits for tickets worth up to $25. Once a ticket is scanned and the credit is given, that ticket becomes worthless and no different than a losing ticket. There is a waste basket next to the machine there probably is a dumpster diver having a clerk in another store check those worthless tickets. That isn't an attempt to fraud the lottery because the terminal will say the ticket is not a wi

Florida Lottery's repeat winners don't always come out ahead
Well you are focusing too much on numbers that have nothing to do with the fun and luck of the game. first of all you need to start thinking positively and that will help you win. two things happens when you play you either win or loss. so am not worried about being doom eventually because we live in a planet that is being doomed eventually and we live in a universe to the best of my knowlege will eventually run out of hydrogen and the stars will go dead so non of that bothers me .when i play th

Choosing How Much Money To (Try And) Win...
The rich already pay most of the taxes that are collected in this country.
Excuse me if my heart doesn't go all aflutter because Warren Buffet is feeling guilty about hoarding all that money all his life while people were starving all over the world. No one, at any point in his long, privileged life has ever prevented him from giving to charity or to the government if he so chooses. For him to say at this late date that all wealthy people should be forced to give more of their money to the go

Is Mirlande Wilson an Attention Seeking Fraud, or Have the Winning Ticket?
At this point I honestly don't know what to think. From her actions you would think she is a complete fraud. But for her to continue to perpetuate
this drama for so long and hire an attorney to boot? As another poster remarked, she might be drawing attention to herself deliberately, to
allow a friend/relative to claim the winning ticket, and take the heat from the lotto pool away from her.
Beyond that, this is making for great entertainment, and hopefully giving us more insight as

State cuts lottery winner's benefits
M, I work in a grocery store, I see the people who are in true need, and I see the fraudsters, this week is welfare week in Michigan, and I will watch them buy everything from chips chips to ice cream then use cash to buy , beer, cigarettes and piles of lottery tickets, it's wrong, it's theft, it's not okay to take someone elses money through entitlements so you can have the stuff you want, while someone else buys the stuff you need through taxation.
It used to be we would get someone on welf

Proposed Buffett Rule and How It Would Apply to Some Lottery Winners Who Invest
The same thought had crossed my mind as far as how expensive it could be to enact these reforms however, the droves of blood sucking leachers that would be booted off the system for drug use, fraud, criminal activity etc.. would absolutely outweigh the cost of enforcement.
With respect to Ron Paul, I love his policies of scaling back government and beaurocrasy. The propblem I have with him as well as the rest of the candidates is they're complete disregard for the problems facing our enviro
