What would you say if anything to a lottery winner you run into on the street/store by chance??
About five years ago, I ran into a guy I grew up with ( small town ) who won the six pick lottery,( I think 5 million, not sure, but, I know it was over 3 million), actually ran into him pumping gas at the same conv. store he bought the winning ticket. It was just a few months after he won it. Yes, he is still buying tickets, too. I did ask him what he was going to do with the money, and, congratulated him on his big win. He told me that he sold his small business, and, made plans to buil

Do you need to win THAT much?
I guess I need a couple of millions and use it as a nestegg to boost my life in general. I have no intention to retire even if I win. I don't need a house. If I invest in mid-risk income investments then I might fetch a few thousand dollars per month. That's sweet enough for me. Even if I won $100 mil, I'd still invest 90% of the prize for income properties and other funds that generate incomes. And I'd run a charity foundation that helps vets in So Cal with the incomes from the invest

How long can you go without playing?
Tne bigger the jackpot the more people play... I could never understand the thinking of the people that only play when the jackpots are absurdly high (PB MM). If it is worth a dollar to play for a $100,000,000, why is it not worth a dollar to play for $1,000,000 (or whatever the current minimum is ... since that is not my game)? Most average people could probably retire on 1-3 million if they wanted to ... unless they're wasteful and can't manage their money. ...thus the odds are less in y

Indiana lottery to outsource some operations
Governor Perry has your best interests at heart. Trust him and everything will be fine. It wouldn't hurt to send him a few bucks to help him retire his campaign debt either. We all have to work together in this world if we want to improve things. Be a uniter, not a divider. But most of all, don't be a hater. Have a nice day!

Florida Fantasy 5...What Would You Do With A Jackpot?
I single pay F5 jackpot is going to net around $150k to $185k after taxes. Certainly not enough to retire on, but enough to make a solid impact. If we won the jackpot, in priority order, we would... pay off mortgage pay off school loans new roof new flooring It would be great to know the house was paid for, and updating it would be icing on the cake. What would YOU do with the proceeds of an F5 jackpot if you were the sole winner?

Post your scratch ticket results
DR. You got it exactly right. I wouldnt play if I couldnt afford to lose the money. I would never gamble away car payments or rent or medical bill payments. It is the fun factor. I have more fun at the casinos. I think lottery tickets are enticing cause from home to work I can probably pick 30 stores to buy from. The casino isn't as convenient. I hit $3300 on a nickel slot progressive in 2009(2nd pull), so i guess PA has been semi nice to me. It just the tickets that in my eyes lost their fun an
