Washington Gov. proposes privatizing state's lottery
Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire on Thursday floated the idea of privatizing the state lottery system as a way to bring in more money for education. I want to be clear: I am not proposing that the lottery expand gambling, Gregoire said at a news conference. Private-sector operation of the lottery would be the lottery that we have today. She wants the Legislature to approve having the lottery solicit proposals from private vendors to run the operation. The idea would be to see if the pri

Any GA players?
Millionaire Jumbo Bucks is the oldest $20 game out there, and it has been my experience that it has very few good winners. I usually lose, but if I win it is usually a free ticket, up to $40 or $50. The only advantage it has over Maximum Green is that while Maximum Green has the most winners in the hundreds of dollars, Millionaire Jumbo Bucks has more prizes in the thousands of dollars. A good strategy that has been working out fairly well for me is to buy one of each of the $20 games, sometimes

Nebraska Lottery records best year ever
Total sales of Nebraska Lottery Scratch and Lotto tickets increased in the Lottery's most-recent fiscal year, resulting in increased transfers to Nebraska Lottery beneficiary funds and returns to players. Preliminary sales figures released by the Lottery show total sales at $131.7 million for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2011, an increase of 1.3 percent over the previous year. This is the highest revenue period since the Nebraska Lottery began in 1993, and marks the eighth consecuti

Of Cat Washing and Backtesting
Earlier you totally confused the odds by talking about needing 20,000% to win. Yep, I did because I forgot the system must win at least $1 to win the 200,000 round challenge, but I corrected my mistake by saying the system must show a 20,000.02% profit to win the challenge. You can fill 100 pages with links but it still won't change the fact to last 200,000 rounds at a minimum bet of $5 per round, at least $1 million in bets must be made on a starting bankroll of only $5000. Do you have

Do not get burned by this service station!
It doesn't matter HOW many tickets he has..I'm a manager at a gas station (not the owner) and the owners usually only had 5-8 books of tickets at a time. Yes, but I bet you have several hundred tickets altogether, not less than a dozen. I would think nothing of a store that had 8 books of tickets, especially if it was in a slow area. I have been in this store three times, over the period of a couple months. The first time, I bought the last two tickets he had, in the entire store. Meaning tha

The following is just (1) article of (8) discussing lottery winners and their fates due to bad decisions made before and after coming into sudden wealth. Hey tiggs95, et al- Thanks for your feedback. As a follow up on the the powerful hedging tool, Dutching is to intended to mitigate the risk factor in speculation; so now for the rest of the story: Every hedge has a cost, so before you decide to use hedging, you must ask yourself if the benefits received from it justify the expense. Remember, the goal of hedging isn't to make money but to protect from losses. The cost of the hedge - whether it is the cost of an option or lost profits fro
