My reasoning is based on the fact that I personally do not care much about the smaller prizes (though I will be very happy if I do win a smaller prize). So, the way I look at it is what is the probability of picking one of the12 top prize tickets from a pool of 72 million tickets? So we're starting a Powerball Pool in my office, and we are debating on what method to use. I run two lottery pools at work, Florida Mega Money and the Florida Lotto. First I have written agreement everybody signs with email address and phone number for each pool. In testing the months of August and September with adobeas system, the x option came up as one of the pool #s 11 times, that's why i went with x=2,7 or 9 for the 1830 key. Now with the 7249 key, the pool #s are 0,1,8 and 9.
