Kansas man claims state's largest Powerball lottery jackpot one day after winning
What's bad about getting up at 4AM? I'd be stopping at Dunkin' Donuts for a coffee and doughnut and avoiding all the traffic and the annoying sun glare. But if I go that early then I'd have sun glare going home. How come people are surprised/shocked etc. when they win? Do we play expecting to lose? If I expect that then I wouldn't play. The majority of players on big drawings who don't play much otherwise, will get QP, so the majority of tickets out there are QP and thus are more often the

Vermont adds multi-state Hot Lotto game
The Vermont lottery is 31 years old this year. Lottery revenues after expenses have grown substantially since its early days. But right now the recession is cutting into those revenues. Back in 1978 the Vermont lottery generated just $1.7 million. That number had grown to $102 million as of last year. But like everything else, lottery revenues are down this year. At The Middle Road Market in Milton, the customers are well familiar with the lottery games. The owners, state representative Ro

Pick-Quickpick Question
Thank you for following up and posting the response. It is good to have this issue settled. I think there are some people, particular lottery critics, who aren't particularly computer-savvy and believe that a central computer generates the quick picks because it either makes logical sense to them, or because it fits their notion that somehow the lottery is controlling the outcome. Taking the Quick Picks out of the equation of controlling the outcome would mean that the only other way the lott

Tough economy?  Some cut back on lottery tickets, wagering
Since April I've been playing much less, only one play per draw just so I can still have a chance to win and look forward to the drawings. It turns out to be more fun to have only 1 number or set in each game because if I lose it's not as big a deal. The payouts on the daily games are still the same, but the big games' jackpots increase more slowly. Even so I still see frequent winners of PB and MM. People still play. I haven't won much lately but for the last few months it was still better than

Hoosier Lotto in a dry spell
I completly agree with you on this issue computerized drawings are not good for the players .The benifit is too the Lotterys and their corporate partners ....its a money maker very little payouts and all profit : laws would push those Corporate Enterprises into a better system a ball draw in the eye of the camera and the citizens of this state: But like I said before there are many insidences accross the USA

Lottery 'glitch' leaves players suspicious
Another little malfunction seems to be shaping up repeat digits. Whatever software they got is definitely whacked. It appears as there might be another glitch with the drawings as now they are continuously drawing the same digits over the last several draws. While this sometimes happens in ball drawings it doesn't happen a lot with RNG drawings. Tennessee lottery draws. Tenn. Lottery says duplicate numbers drawn were legit; can we be sure?
Strange drawing results come right after revelation of weeks of flawed drawings The Tennessee Lottery's Cash 3 game had the exact same winning number in both the midday and evening drawings Thursday. Kym Gerlock, vice president of communications for the Tennessee Lottery, said the reappearance of number 940 was random chance. It was not an error. It's rare, but it does happen, Gerlock said. Each drawing is a totally separate instance and one is not related to another. Gerlock sai

Tenn. Lottery players complaining over switch from numbered balls
We have had some other inquiries about the lack of double digit winning numbers, so we had our security staff run several random test draws, and double digits were drawn. KyMystikal, tell them (politely, of course) to put this in their pipe and smoke it - as of this afternoon (8/16) there have been 36 consecutive computerized pick 4 drawings with no multiple digits (38 total counting the last 2 ball draws on 7/27). According to my calculations the odds on this happening are approx. 51 1/2

would MUSL eventually computerize powerball like they did hot lotto?
The lottery doesn't exist for us, the players. The lottery exists to make money (as any business). But the lottery doesn't have to jump through hoops or anything of the sort to develop a relationship with its customers, it just has to offer the game. Lets' face it, sales are astronomical when jackpots are over $100,000,000, as compared to the jackpot starting points, and there's a frenzy. It wouldn't' be surprising to find out that for those drawings the average player couldn't tell you if
