Winner of record $590.5 million Powerball lottery jackpot announced
Totally. This is as close to anonymous as one can get. Shame on the lottery office for alerting the press while they were there, but they still did good and at least they were able to get away quickly.

$123M EuroMillions lottery winner claims prize
nice win. good luck staying anonymous, once your ID is out you'll never have a quiet life again. of course buying greek island or $80 mill mansions will be a give away too. i hope to never hear from winner again. but i doubt that will be the case.

$360 MILLION: Powerball jackpot raised on huge sales
Actually if you live in a state that allows you to remain anonymous it isn't really as discreet as it sounds. The media recently got the name of an anonymous winner through the freedom of information act and disclosed it to the public. That is why having an attorney claim your prize under a trust that can be hidden under several other trust is so important. One thing I would like to clarify is that there is no need to totally alienate all your close friends. Once you have structured your fina

if you had the power to change certain things to the MM/ PB jackpots- what would they be?
I like the guy who said to have all jackpot winners be totally anonymous. That I think is the MOST important thing. Otherwise you have reporters and people calling your phone every hour of the day.

$350 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot soars
I actually thought about that the other day. If the $587M PB hadn't been claimed. I'm fairly certain it would have gotten there in the next 2-3 rollovers. People had been going crazy with ticket purchases. Unfortunately, I also realized that person(s) would have had the biggest target on them safety wise. Unless the states made an exception, not being anonymous to claim it would have been begging for trouble. Winners have been shot, poisoned, threatened with kidnapping for jackpots much much

Do any of you buy your tickets online?
I was wondering the other day what the highest prize those services have paid out. As I understand it they don't actually buy the numbers, so they I suppose they could have had a jackpot winnter, in which case that winner was probably the most anonymous lottery jackpot winner ever.

Would you remain Anonymous or have a Press Conference after winning the Jackpot?
If you can't totally remain anonymous, the next best thing would be to not have the press conference. People would know your name, but they wouldn't know your face.

Would you remain Anonymous or have a Press Conference after winning the Jackpot?
My state won't let lottery winners to be anonymous but I definitely don't want a press conference or an interview by the press. There would be no pictures of me holding an oversized check.

Would you wait for a year before claiming your $10M MM ticket if your state has a pending bill that
I'd expect that any bill to allow winners to remain anonymous will only apply to drawings after the bill takes effect. Even if the law is written to apply retroactively to winners who haven't come forward yet, it's possible that it could be successfully challenged by somebody who wants the information. If today's laws says that the information about winners of today's drawing is public information, then it's public information whether the state already has it or has to wait to get it.
