POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
Not sure if poster your quoting has same line of thinking as me but PB price increase has made Mega my preferred national jackpot game which I play when pot goes over 100M $1 a line $2 a line Sad thing is this jackpot is likely to make Mega follow suit soon enough and that will likely mean even less Mega/PB play from me Cant afford to fit in 3 Lotto's weekly on my budget. I play $9 on Illinois Lotto + $2-20 on Scratch offs so spending $ on Mega/PB just a little to hard to justify

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
Thanks for the response. Although, the MSM keeps on equating El Gordo with the PB. Hopefully, Todd can send out FYI's to various media outlets to let them know the difference. Anyway, my concern with the PB, is not the change of algorithm by increasing the numbers to select (from 1-69) and the PB (01-25) but was on the increase on the play amount $2.00 to be in the game. The two dollar bill was never a hit, when it was originally instituted by the Feds. I think that it is much more exciting

$450 MILLION: Powerball sales bonanza sparks early jackpot increase
6th-biggest lottery jackpot in US history By Todd Northrop Due to larger than expected sales volume, the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) has raised the official Powerball lottery jackpot estimate for Wednesday's drawing to $450 million. The all-important lump-sum cash value of the jackpot has been raised to $275.4 million. The newly-increased annuity and cash value jackpot amounts are both the 6th-largest ever recorded in United States lottery history. The top-25 annuity and c

Neural Net Lottery Picker
Hi, I found your post, and indeed I had missed it. I really wasn't trying to add any more pressure to the developer, it was more of a question I had as to if GPU's would really increase the speed of achieving more positive outputs so that I may build my own machine if needed. If your wish were to granted, surely this software will become more of a beast. Do you know about the marginal errors? I wonder if the last error columns is accurate description of errors. I find that average of er

NJ Gov. vetoes bill that would allow lottery ticket home delivery
New Jerseyans won't be able to have lottery tickets delivered to their door any time soon. Gov. Chris Christie on Monday vetoed a bill that would have allowed the operation of lottery courier services in the state. Under the measure, the services would have been able to collect a fee and redeem tickets for customers, but they would not have been allowed to take a portion of any winnings. (See Lottery tickets could soon be delivered to your home in N.J., Lottery Post, Mar. 3, 2015.) Sti

Friday Mega Millions jackpot raised to $164 million
$5 million raise is relatively small on $159 million annuity. Any raise at all is significant at that level, and in this case it's a 33.3% bump from the original increase. It might even be the first time they've done it for such a small jackpot. Seems they're very desperate to drive sales. Maybe. Lottoreport, com reports sales of $28.455 million. That would add just under $9 million to the cash value, and at the current cash/annuity ratio that's still not quite enough to raise the an

N.C. Powerball winner's fiancé jailed for third time this year
You are correct in saying thay we are entitled to our opinion. But please keep in mind that your rights end wher another persons rights begin. Having given up my rights to serve and defend our constitution, I understand and appreciate our rights better than most. You have the right to punch someone in the nose but they also have the right to punch out your lights if you do so .... The same principle was at play during the cold war. now back to the original topic. I apologize for going off sub

Why do you play lotteries?
I play it to win a life changing amount which for me is 400K after taxes. So I used to play PB for the million dollar 2nd prize or the jackpot. I understand many people, maybe most, don't get excited until the jackpot is several hundred million. I think PB could have made both people like them and people like me happy just by cutting down on the number of white balls so the million dollar prize would have better odds, and increasing the red balls so that the jackpot would be harder to hit.
