I agree 150% with rdgrnr on this, if it's your time to be lucky it's your time, if it isn't, it isn't and there's not a thing you can do that would have any effect on it. Fate, kismet, destiny, whatever you want to call it, that's all there is to it. So suppose people bought advance ticket plays so they wouldn't have to run back to the store if the jackpot wasn't won. Most winning tickets are quick picks not self pick tickets for mega and powerball. mega millions and powerball have ball drawings.

Coin Toss, Do they tell you if the subscription winners are quick picks? I use to play yearly subscriptions there and I'd have a line of my numbers and had them quick pick another line.

This is very interesting...interesting indeed. To start with, the basic rule of thumb to increase one's odds of winning is to play more selections (numbers). These numbers need to be properly balanced as well and there are many ways to accomplish this based on what little I know.
