Minnesota couple wins big Gopher 5 lottery prize
Oh, okay. I thought you found something in the article that you found surprising, and that you were just using the same words (twisted for fun). I didn't see anything very surprising, so wondered what you saw. LOL

He saw himself on the news purchasing it and the Lottery Office felt that something was not right when the clerk tried to claim it and they pulled the tapes to look. Winning a lottery jackpot can't guarantee happiness
You've hit the nail on the head. With just a few exceptions, most of us will forget the winners' names 10 minute after reading an article about it, but a few people will either remember their names or look for their names after the fact. We'd all love a piece of their pie, but most of us aren't going to ask for anything, so we aren't interested in their names and forget about them unless they do something to attract attention.
The people who remember their names are a different story. I don't

Lottery winners share money advice
It's funny ironic that this article advises staying out of the spotlight and then the same 3 people are telling their tales to the press! At least that's the way I see it!
You can have a loss of identity, because now you're one of those people with money, Bradley said.
Hmm..maybe that's why I never used my BA in Psychology! As Keenan Wynn said to Bob Newhart in one of the funniest episodes ever on television It's all a crock! I wonder if one of the homeless people who are invisibl

Big week ahead for N.C. lottery
A news article I read online mentioned pick 3 or a pick 5 as possible games to be added in the fall.No mention of the Money for Life type of games.I'm sure there will be more information about future games after the Powerball game starts.

what does a prediction formula look like?
... just picked up the V22:N4 issue of (twenty-six hundred) the other day. It has an interesting article on the lottery that may be useful for those of you who live in a ball-draw state.

N.C. lottery is quickly piling up a lot of dirty laundry
I suggest that NC not have a Lottery, as they seem to do nothing but complain about it. Every other article on here has to do with NC Lottery. They even screwed up designing their own logo. What % of this audience would play there regularly? Not me.. it's like 500 miles away.

Arkansas Man Wins $200,000 Powerball Prize
$200,000 is a very nice sum. Yet if he asked for the Power Play he could have walked away with $800,000. The article doesn't say how many tickets he bought but if all you do is buy one ticket it is definitely worth putting out the extra dollar for a Power Play. But for those people who buy many, many more tickets per game I can see Power Play not being that attractive if your sole aim is to win the jackpot rather than hope to win the lower prize amounts.
