NY lottery is tricky. They released the 555 triple in the Win 4. I don't know if they will release in Numbers now. They have been putting all the triples in the Win 4 so far this year.

OK, forget about mathematics for a minute. Just use some intuition -- if you buy ALL 292,201,338 combinations, you're saying that you are not guaranteed to win? How would the lottery choose a combination you did NOT buy?

Nice try. Lottery odds are based on possible combinations. The second ticket only reduces the odds by one more combination, it does not cut the odds in half.
