Arizona bill to allow anonymity for lottery winners clears panel
Actually, I'd be more willing to come out with some details if my name wasn't attached to it. If the lottery releases my name, they get nothing else. If I can be anonymous, I would do a bit of an interview with them. I'd tell them how I played, and even a little about my personal background if they want to know. Just nothing that identifies me.

for those who understand lottery games in va
lol Ok. I will help also. Here are the winning #'s for the next Decades of Dollars game. 2 4 5 9 20 40 Remember Virginia is not an anonymous claim state if you win so I will be stopping by to collect my 20% fee from you (agents fee). I have placed secret weights made of kitty litter in the other balls so they will not be drawn.

Keep working vs. permenant vacation
OK you win, or I win... and which ever won suddenly decides to 'share' with some of their LP family... but the catch is... the winner cant because they chose to be anonymous... so now THAT is a sad problem, which can be considered while on a perm vaca/new job.

Powerball hit in Va. last night
Yea Virginia!! VA had like 9 2nd place winners in the past 9 weeks and I even bought a ticket or two in VA vs DC. I read somewhere it was bought at the Richmond airport? So the person could be from anywhere. Virginia does not allow anonymous claims or trusts so we will find out who it is eventually.

Millions in lottery winnings go unclaimed each year
Here's that dose of reality you need. Freedom of speech means that your right to say or publish something is generally not restricted simply because the person you're speaking about wishes you wouldn't do it. For the most part, when you're in a public place anybody can take your picture and make any non-commercial use of it that they want to, so long as they don't slander or libel you. Slandering you requires making a claim that something is true when it's not. A billboard with your picture sayi

Poisoned lottery winner's family reportedly didn't share his last meal
In Idaho your name and city are public info, but you don't have to do a press conference or even have your photo taken. The only time the media latches on to mere million dollar winners here is when they do the press conference, especially if they do it at the store they bought the ticket at. When you don't do the publicity, the lottery just publishes your name on their website, so the only people who know are the ones who regularly peruse that section looking for people they know. I've never

Would you keep your word??
First of all, a print out from the clerk would have verified who has the correct tickets. The tickets can be sorted out days later by entering the codes on the tickets. If you don't keep your promise, and you are not in a State where you cannot remain anonymous when you claim your winnings , the person with whom you bumped into would have a good case in court if the ticket proved to be his or hers.

powerball taxes?
So y'all are saying if you resided in Maryland, you wouldn't prefer to buy your ticket in Delaware, which allows anonymous claiming of prizes? That's something that you should only have to think about if, and at the time, you win isn't it? Would you prefer to buy your ticket in Pennsylvania, which allows claiming by any legal entity (including corporation) and has 0% state income tax on lottery winnings vs. Virginia, with a 4% rate and which forces you to take a photo and more than likely forces
