Tennessee Lottery - ALERT
I have attempted to alert this board numerous times in the past, but for whatever reason, it never gets posted. This will be my very last attempt because I have relocated to another state in the mid-west effective 6-17-05. A little background about me: I was recently retired from over 30 years with the state government of Tennessee. I was informed and let in on something in which I firmly disagreed with, hence, my retirement and due to physical and financial threats, my decision to move to

NJ Teachers just miss $130M Mega Millions lottery jackpot
A group of 82 teachers and staff members at School 10 in Paterson, New Jersey came within one number of winning the $130 million jackpot in last week's Mega Millions game.Instead, they will take home about $2,134 each before taxes, having won the second prize of $175,000. Although disappointed that they can't retire early, the winners who gathered Tuesday to pose for New Jersey Lottery photographs were happy they won anything at all. This is the biggest win I've ever had, gym teacher William Be

I was wondering.............
I have never had a problem with anyone because of their race... I don't feel ill will for the citizens of Mexico, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka or wherever else our good jobs went... they are just pawns, as are we...And I don't hate rich people as a general rule, but I DO despise those who made their money from the misfortunes of others... C.E.O.s really tick me off... eliminate thousands of U.S. jobs then retire with $6,000 shower curtains and season tickets to national sporting dvents...grayfox,

Stop Working?
Yes, it depends on how many millions you win. Of course, as four4me stated: there are many factors/variables and each person's situation is different. In my opinion, there's no one size fits all. Theoretically, a person could live on $3 million (after taxes) and not work. Now, if the winner is sustaining the family, the friends, and other assorted charities and/or beggars, his or her money will dwindle.Furthermore, having your own business is a PLUS. However, having your business in your hom

MY VIEWS ON Match 6
Quote: Originally posted by hypersoniq on February 05, 2004 LOL, too bad it took the end of a game to make it finally pay a little... Yep, that happened to me when Wild Card/All Cash Looto got replaced by Stupor 6. Hit both drawings that week; OK so I won a dollar each time but a win is a win is a win. As I said before, a game is only good if one wins at it. Congratulations again. Hang in thereSince There were no other games on Thursday (and Monday) I decided to play my 2 sets in cash 5 last

Former police chief wins millions in lottery
After 20 years of buying lottery tickets with the same pre-selected numbers, Glenn Phenicie's casual decision on Friday to buy a Maryland Lotto ticket with computer-generated random numbers netted him a $3.4 million payoff.Phenicie, a retired Waynesboro, Pennsylvania police chief, opted to take his winnings in an annuity, which will pay out $95,200 annually after taxes over the next 25 years. He estimates he'll get about $80,000 a year after taxes.Phenicie and his wife, Valerie, claimed their Lo
