Post your scratch ticket results
Hello all, I just registered because I wanted to see if my performance/outcome tonight is normal. I think I got overly lucky tonight. Two weeks ago, I bought almost a whole role (258) of Holiday Delight $1 Scratch offs. Made Back only $180 thanks to a $40 winner, but still lost $78. After keeping track of winners and trying to locate patterns, I noticed numbers ending *5 tend to be winners, but not the big winners. My $40 was #128 buried between #117-#141 and was the only winner in that en

CA Superlotto jackpot and 5/5 ticket from same store..
Yup, this person hit the Finish Line Food Store running at full speed. Good for them. When buying a couple of tickets for Tuesday's MM, I made out a playslip but apparently there was a problem with the playslip feeder on the machine so the clerk typed in my numbers. When he handed me the ticket, I saw that he had put in one of the numbers wrong, and he was bummed because he knew he might have to buy that ticket to balance the books, so I offered to buy it along with a new correct ticket. N.Y. man accused of pulling box cutter on clerk after lottery mistake
HAPPY WEDNESDAY EVERYONE 10/30/2013 I always enjoy reading all the threads and posts because I learn something new all the time. Jon D...I didn't know for example, that we can use the same Play Slip over and over again. I thought that after the Clerk had run it thru the lottery machine, creating your lottery ticket, that U couldn't use that Play Slip again and had to create a new one each time U wanted to play those numbers. Therefore, while I saved the actual ticket I would throw away th

$20 scratch off! (I dont think I have the balls to buy one)
The $20 scratcher is for the casual player. If you have $20 to spare, go ahead, take the chance and you have good odds of losing, getting your money back, winning a little more and a small shot at the jackpot. For chasers, however, it can be the fastest way to lose your shirt. I won $500 once on a $3 scratcher and blew it all on the $20s in an hour or less. It started with a gas stop where I picked up 2 $10 tickets. At home, I remembered the monopoly ticket had a back area to scratch. I went

Do you have better luck buying 4 or 5 off the same roll or...
I think there is no definitive answer to this question. I have seen threads where people will go to a scratcher machine and buy 1 of every ticket, spending almost $100 and they walk away with double that. I have also just bought one ticket and won something significant (significant to me is more than $50). But this isn't always how it works out. Personally, I find if I buy 3 or 4 of a single game I will at least get something back more than 50% of the time. I would pay more attention to

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I usually buy a few tickets of a roll, max buy at odds, and take them away. Occasionally I will chase a win in store if I can find a machine and scanner all to myself, but again, limit it to odds.(typically 4 tickets) As you have seen, and many others have reported as well, you can get really sucked in chasing wins and end up with a long string of losers with only a ticket value in the end for your efforts. But I don't think either method has any significant advantage over the other. Other me

Do you see PB jackpots of $300 mil plus a fluke going forward with California joining in soon?
There is a repeat button on lottery terminals and a clerk apparently accidentally hit it when I bought MM tickets and printed five identical tickets. Each ticket was valid but could not be voided so had I won the jackpot, it would be at least a five way split. Because it was an obvious error by the clerk, I was only responsible for one ticket and the others were either sold to other players or the store kept them. That was many years ago so that problem was probably fixed. Our PB playslips ha

what is your lottery pet peeves??
When a clerk goes ticket by ticket counting how much I owe. I can see what the machine reads on the tower, why can't they? Some of these people don't have a clue. At the register, I can't stand when the clerk looks back and forth 10 times to see that the money in their hand and the reading on the register match what I should be getting in change. They pull from the same pool those register clerks and the lottery clerks...most of them should be taking simple math classes a

Do people have more luck just buying one scratch ticket at a time as opposed to buying 2 or more?
Hi Oneday, So you buy 3 tickets in a row, like your way of thinking. I've only used a machine a few times though, once a couple of years ago I won a $100 on a 5 dollar ticket that way. I'm not a chaser because I buy my tickets and take them home to scratch for another day (to save myself from buying too many at a time). There was a time when I was always asking the clerks what the number was on the bottom of the ticket and felt that the lower numbers were better for me. The last 6 months o
