A trick to remain anonymous?
Before the drawing it's a chance, and there are laws against reselling it. Once the drawing is held it's a financial instrument with a fixed value and it's your property, so why wouldn't you be able to sell it? The better questions are how much would somebody else pay for it, and how much are you willing to pay for some initial anonymity? A large corporation probably wouldn't be bothered by people looking for handouts the way an individual might be, so they might not require a huge payment to

Do You Think That 1 Quick Pick Ticket Is Random Enough To Win A Mega Millions Or Powerball Jackpot?
However, if people takes the time and energy (they wont) to play the same lines every time the odds of hitting increase with each passing draw. ( the one in 1000 blog will never hit because of the RNG used) That was never the point of the blog. I suppose the name was misleading, and that's my fault, but I was trying to see what you could get in lower-tier prizes when you played that many lines. I very well could have generated one set and used those for all drawings rather than making a

Do You Think That 1 Quick Pick Ticket Is Random Enough To Win A Mega Millions Or Powerball Jackpot?
I do think 1 is enough BUT I think 20 on one draw is BETTER. QP gives the lotteries a very distinct and unfair advantage over the general public for the simple fact that people almost NEVER repeat the lines. When people change there picks every draw (using QP or otherwise) They in essence create a moving target for the winning numbers to hit. Secondly, buying 46 random lines does NOT create a true 1 in 3.9 million chance, it only creates 46 independent 1 in 175 million chances. (like a slo

Waiting for Wealth
THe twisted logic is all too obvious..... for any rational person!!! As I said in my post yesterday, they are walking in lock step to INCREASE SPENDING NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY LIE ABOUT IT. 5-12-12 Quote from the Washington times: Putting pressure on Congress to approve parts of his latest economic stimulus plan, President Obama urged Americans Saturday to push lawmakers to approve his multibillion-dollar to-do list for creating jobs

Take5 isnt fair
That is the reason why I play almost exclusively the 3-ball and the 4-ball. In most states, the prize is half the odds. In Mega Millions, the odds of matching 4+0 are around 1 in 15,000 (greater than the odds of winning the top prize playing 4-ball), but the prize is only $150 (less than the prize of winning a 3-way box playing 3-ball). I feel that Mega Millions should be paying out at least $5000 for this. Virginia's new Decades of Dollars game isn't too bad, with Match 5 odds 1

Post your scratch ticket results
It amuses me to see so many regular players griping about the odds . The lottery is designed to make a profit and hopefully whatever state you resdie in is using those profits to better the roads, schools or whatever. Overall odds are just that, overall as in over all of the entire print of tickets. If distribution of winners was predictable it would be awesome but it is not gonna happen. It is random as evidenced by the many posts here with folks winning on 4-5 tickets in a row and losing on as

what is your thoughts on randomness is there structure even in chaos?
You definitely have the right idea with this theory. In the real world , they claim the pre-draws are to ensure fairness, and, that the machines are operating properly. I called BS on them both when I first learned about them. First of all, they spend all that money on contracts to get these high dollar, and, highly important government machines which are supposed to be QUALITY ASSURED/QUALITY CONTROLLED/INSPECTED prior to the shipping. So, they shouldn't need to be warmed up with all those snip

Which odds are better?
That's not true. With odds near 175 million, even most characteristics wouldn't be at a sufficient sample size to expect it to match the probability. I'm not doing the math for how long it would take to be 99% certain that the sample mean should match the theoreitical mean, unless something was wrong. It'd take to long, and I know it's a fruitless effort. It'd probably be 10s of thousands of draws, if not more. In any case, my advice to you is simple. If you don't mind risking the money,

Which odds are better?
Comparisions is a good idea because it is a fact that a bell curve shows what lines will come in 75% of the time. I got reamed out in a thread because I assumed 50% of the bell curve meant 50% of the lines. Even if only 20% are low probability lines, you are talking about wasting 35,000 lines of your 175,000. (my math could be wrong) Of course the machine doesn't know the differance, but the balls are NUMBERED. saying any 5 numbers have an equal chance of any other 5 is like saying you can sh
