Arizona man claims other half of record Powerball jackpot
This would be idea of how I would claim if I ever won in my own fantasy world..lol I would wait a couple weeks and claim anonymous and avoid all press conference. I would NOT wait the two-six months non-sense like some people talk about on here. If my ducks weren't lined up within that time frame then I would march right down to lottery headquarters and get my check, even if that meant I had to be in the spotlight . lol

Georgia construction worker collects $50M Mega Millions win
He turned it in really fast. Wonnder Why he didn't wait to see if he could claim anonymously or at least avoid press conference. I'm not sure if you can do either one of those in Georgia. I've never seen this asked, can, would you go to another state so claim anonymous?

Did the couple even consider calling a lawyer??
I don't see any advantage in delaying the claims process whatsoever unless you bought the ticket in one of the very few states that allows anonymity.
I'd say you've got that completely backwards. If you can remain anonymous you can claim the prize and make some plans while waiting for the money to be transferred. When you can't be anonymous you want the time to get things in order. These people probably didn't even get their phone turned off before rushing to claim the prize.

Apparent Arizona winner captured on video the moment he learned of win
...But Im sure the moment he realized he won..he was so overtaken with joy..that he wasnt thinking clear.I hope he doesnt get killed.Linebacker body or not.Bullets penetrate iron.I would remain anonymous and hopefully when I win can control myself but I never check my tickets in the store.fear of having that kind of attention causing reaction...anyway great video...the other ticket holders didnt waste anytime claiming their money..I wouldve been in Tallahassee Thursday morning as soon as they op

Winning Powerball ticket in Mo. turned in
You think so? Most would rather remain anonymous and most would take the cash option. I am sure polls would substantiate both.

if you won would share the news with lp?
Good point. It kind of puts a crimp in my plan to remain anonymous if I can't prove it to y'all when my ticket wins

$325 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot goes through the roof
I read awhile back that some michigan lawmaker introduced a bill to let the powerball/mega winners in michigan remain anonymous. Anyone know if this got shot down or is still moving forward? Can't believe someone in lansing actually thought of doing something useful for a change.

$250 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges
You have to think small whenever you play jackpot games. I really play to win $1,000,000 on mega millions or powerball. Winning a jackpot will be great if can remain anonymous in New York.

$250 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges
I play the lottery, but i am afraid of winning a lottery jackpot someday. I usually play to win a second prize on MM or PB. Winning a big lottery jackpot is not a good idea because I can't be anonymous in New York.

Follow-up: Would you take MORE money to NOT remain anonymous?
Oregon does not allow anonymous winners. So I will take the annuity and have a little press conference and go home. Good luck to me on saturday night!-weshar75
