$304,000,000 Mega Millions has just rolled over to...
The history of huge jackpots isn't extensive enough to tell us very much about rollovers. Probability, OTOH, tells us what's likely with a fair amount of precision, but unlikely things can still happen. If sales are limited to the current advertised jackpot amount the chances of a winner(s) or a rollover are fairly even, probably with a slight preference for a winner.
If sales push it to the 380 range that could mean selling about 80% of the possible combinations. That would still mean a 1 in

Televised results: continue?
Took a while, but I did actually get a response from the CA lotto commission on this issue, here it is if anyone is interested:
After almost 26 years on air, on February 23, 2011, the Lottery stopped broadcasting the winning number drawings for its two Lotto games, MEGA Millions and SuperLOTTO Plus, on television.
The Lottery stopped broadcasting draws in an effort to reduce operating costs so that it can increase prize payouts to players and contributions to education.

Billionaire Personality
Self made billionaires come from all walks of life. Some become billionaires very young, others late in life. Some are highly educated, others are dropouts from the formal education system. But there are five essential personality traits that they all have in abundance.

(courage ~ 574, 182)
Self made billionaires have the courage to dream big. You don't become a billionaire by aiming for a new car or house or a 1

What Does It Take To Win (Mathematically Speaking?)
Jimmy4164:
I've been reading your posts and am pleased. So, am going to share my thought: if we consider that the lottery is based on pseudo-random numbers, as opposed to pure random numbers, what short and long runs mean is zero; if the database is consistent, the predictions can become accurate. So, am very interested in the idea of the short run.
At present, I am testing my idea of stabilizing the database, so as to increase my level of accuracy. I know it sounds insane, but I'll keep

What If someone wins and doesn't invest at all .
I don't think you're seeing hate, so much as a consensus that not investing the money may suggest that the winner isn't making particularly smart choices. You also may be confused about what investing means, since you start by talking about putting the money in bank accounts. Just because it's called a savings account (or CD) doesn't mean it's not an investment.
Even if it isn't invested and never earns any interest, you're right that somebody who clears $10 million has a reasonably good chan
