Kentucky Lottery now using computerized drawings
Not good. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if more states go to computerized drawings due to virus concerns for staff members (and then never return to real drawings after the virus threat has passed).
It would be a strange twist of fate if a computer virus then infected and influenced the computerized drawings...

Texas: 2/1 - 2/28/2019
I'm saying that based on my stats over the years along with knowing the states that use computer random numbers generators so many scandals, I don't trust computerized drawings. So I don't play them. It would be interesting to see how everyone feels after they really dig in to their stats to see any differences between states that use computerized drawings compared to the ones that use mechanized drawings.
You can go the the results page and click on the Virginia day or evening drawings

Arizona Lottery pulls second computerized drawing machine over duplicate numbers
You're doing some good work Jade, thanks. I'd recommend sending an e-mail to the Arizona Lottery directly for verification of the date of switch-over to computerized drawings. Unfortunately the switch back to real ball drawings is only temporary, as they are scheduled to go back to computerized drawings on Dec. 11.

NJ Lottery adding Quick Draw game to its lineup
My understanding is that they no longer use the drawing system created by Tipton. I question why they continue to use computerized drawings at all at this point, but at least they did change the system. Hopefully players will keep pressure on MUSL to change all of its drawings back to real ball drawings.
(This is off-topic to the discussion about the new NJ Quick Draw game, but worthy to mention because of the computerized drawing angle.)

British Columbia Lottery wants to upgrade computerized drawing system
By Todd Northrop
Canada's British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) in order to expand and improve its ability to conduct computerized lottery drawings.
While the lottery may view a new computerized drawing system as a step-up for the organization, lottery players may feel differently. In the United States, computerized drawings are the basis for the biggest scandal to ever rock the lottery industry.
According to the RFI, the British Columbia

Jackpot-fixing investigation expands to more state lotteries
Some people occasionally bring this up as a way to show some kind of balance between ball drawings and computerized drawings. But that is like comparing a raindrop to a monsoon.
Yes, you can theoretically say a ball drawing can be rigged, and you can even say that it was rigged in that one specific case, many years ago. But in that one instance where it was done it was CAUGHT because you can physically inspect the balls and any layman can witness the drawing and see what happens.

BOMBSHELL: MUSL employee might have rigged Hot Lotto computerized drawing
Actually, Indiana actually did that for their Daily 3 and Daily 4 games back in 2013. (Three cheers to Indiana!) They switched from computerized drawings back to real ball drawings, hired a television personality, etc. Very good move!
Computerized drawings is one area where advanced technology is NOT a good thing. This is being spoken by a technologist (me).

Illinois Lottery mulling changes to drawings
To the lottery director and staff of the Illinois lottery do not switch from ball drawings to computerized drawings you will lose money. The integrity of the games depends solely on the fact that ball drawings are the most wildly used drawings in the USA.
Computerized drawings have and will continue to fail due to software glitches that neither you nor your staff will recognize.

Iowa Lottery no longer sharing Illinois Lottery drawings
Well, if Iowa added their own drawings to protect their players from computerized drawings, then big-time props to them.

Illinois Lottery mulling changes to drawings
Computerized drawings vs real ball drawings...I don't trust digital, and I wouldn't ride a sinking boat either.
