California Lottery delaying payouts to winners
With modern technology, kind of odd that there is a waiting process. Seems like a transaction should take place, which allows to have the money wired to one's account within 1-3 days.

Play at the Pump slow to take off in NC
In January 2015, the North Carolina Education Lottery joined an effort to make convenience stores more convenient for potential lottery players by allowing them to play the lottery digitally while filling up their gas tanks.
Play at the Pump, a cloud-based payment platform, allows people to play Mega Millions, Powerball and Cash 5 without going into the store. With the swipe of a debit card and a $1 transaction fee, players can get their numbers for the next drawing.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
It is possible but unlikely. Most people would have claimed by now, this isn't the Powerball we're talking about.
A Lottery as large as the FL Lottery shouldn't have to rely on an inefficient process such as manual updates. The technology has been out there for many years to implement data infrastructures which automatically update. There needs to be consistency, and transparency. The $1/$2 tickets seem to be updated fairly swiftly, which leads me to believe there are different individua

South Florida musician gets prison term for lottery fraud
These creeps take advantage of the fact that the elderly are more trusting and are not generally familiar with the technology that can make the thieves appear to be legitimate. For example, if an elderly person sees Publisher's Clearinghouse appear on their phone's Caller ID, they believe it. Meanwhile, younger, more technically-savvy people understand that it is simple to fake a Caller ID name and do not blindly trust they are speaking with the real company. Same goes for e-mail.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
So they probably haven't released the news item yet. It would be nice if the Fla Lottery established some consistency regarding the order in which they release news items and update the /remainingPrizes page. Since we don't really know the order (I haven't noticed any consistency in the order regarding this; sometimes they update the remainingPrizes before they release the news items, and sometimes after; and if after the news item, sometimes they don't update the /remainingPrizes page for weeks

Holy (SNIP) you won the Powerball... Champagne wishes and caviar dreams...
I would invest in good technology ideas from the best of the best students at top Tech universities in the world. Good way to make billions, if done right. Imagine investing in the next Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, Steve Jobs.

Should Camelot Pay These "Jackpot Winners"?
This is a great reason NOT to use new technology. Stick with going to a lottery retailer and buying an actual ticket. There should have been something somewhere that stated that purchases made on this app have to be made by such and such time. I don't have the all the evidence. So, I can't vote.
