It's time the lottery needs to stop releasing a person name and picture when a big win is won!
The paranoid fear of lottery fraud doesn't trump a winner's right to privacy and personal safety. There are documented cases around the country of winners being robbed and even murdered by strangers and acquaintances - who got the winner's personal info from TV, newspapers, websites etcetera.
Not to mention that in the internet age, criminals can access a substantial amount of sensitive information about a person by simply googling their name and county of residence. This can and frequently d

NEW YORK Instant scratch off tickets
The Cadiliac game doesn't make much sense for me at least, not living in NYC. 4 top prizes of 500k and a CTS. I assume you have to pay taxes on the car, I know you have to pay taxes on the 500K. Then there is the expense of owning a car in NYC, gas, cameras, the threat of theft etc.

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Great day yesterday on the $20 game. Tickets 1-12 contained 2 break evens... 1-8 all losers... Got 13 today and it was another break even. Looks like this game is risk $20 and if you beat the odds you get your money back most of the time. Looks like legal theft to me...

Undercover officers catch store clerks keeping winning lottery tickets
With most states that don't do it, like Tennessee, it's probably because people would go into shock if they knew how much money was being stolen from innocent, trusting lottery players by corrupt, virtual agents of their State Lottery. They'd rather let the corruption and theft continue than allow their incompetence and long-term lack of security measures and protocols to be put on display.

Northstar fights to keep Illinois lottery documents secret
This is a total lack of the Law. By hidding it's company policy aka how they keep so much money is why so many states are not making money yet those on the boards or private share holders are. Law makers who request a private company to run their state Lottery should be investigated and kick out of office, arrested on fraud and theft! Arizona ia another Lottery which is cheating and I've asked for a full investigation into these so called revenue building lottery companies.

As a Lottery JP winner: Would you " help" your city out if they were on the verge of bankruptcy?
This topic is deeper than just the politics of guilt that noise-gate brings up or the bickering that candlelight is talking. Voting is the power of theft. Two votes has the power to steal from the one vote. Every election your out voted then who cares who is republican, democrat, conservative or liberal. All you know is that you have been separated from some more of your wealth to pay for someone else against your will.
Remember these two words: Greed Theft. Its not greedy to want to keep wh

Kentucky man arrested for cashing stolen lottery ticket
This illustrates that crime does not pay! I wonder if anyone is banned from playing the lottery if convicted of theft in any form against a lottery player or retailer?

what kind of small business would be good to invest in if you won a jackpot (IYO)
You're going to need something to keep you busy other than investments, and if you think you wont have to watch your financial people like you do your small business employees you're super wrong...they are white collar criminals and their theft would be harder to spot than some hourly worker you're paying who's grabbing a couple dollars here and there out of the til.....Why would I start a business? I guess I am a worker bee, I love my down time but too much of it drives me crazy, I'd have to do
