Six $1M Powerball tickets claimed by one Arizona winner
hmm... didnt realize AZ allow anonymous collections. 6 tickets... 2$ per ticket = 12$... if they had purchased 4 tickets w/ PP it still would have cost 12$ but they would have had 8M$ instead of 6M$. Nice catch! Didn't know that any state allow secondary prizes to be cashed anonymously and if he had a plan to collect multiple times, it wasn't thought out very well. Now that PB is a $2 ticket, using Powerplay doesn't double the price and all the secondary prizes are at the least doubled.

Lottery winner recounts harassment after claiming prize
Ridge - sounds like you have a fabulous group of friends. That is the way that it should be. My friends are wonderful (I have culled the herd over the years to the cr me de la cr me). It's family and strangers that I cannot control! Hence the need/desire for anonymous collecting of lottery wins (darn and drat peskie Rhode Island for not allowing anonymous winning!!!) And around here... the passing lane... what is that? we have 2 lanes of traffic (and i mean TRAFFIC) here going each wa

It just shows how your money changes other people.People that you think are friends turn into greedy a% holes and expect YOU to pay off THEIR debts.Another reason to remain anonymous when you collect your winnings.

Maryland Lottery Director says online sales coming
If, like in Europe, all winners remain anonymous, and there is no tax on lottery winnings, then I would have a lot less misgivings about online sales. However, I contend that buying your tickets on line just makes it that much harder to keep it a secret. I think hackers would immediately set about finding out whose computer the winning ticket was sold on.

anonymous vs. public disclosure
Here in NSW, all winners are allowed to remain anonymous. Most keep their anonymity, it is very rare to hear the identity of a winner.

Winners of big lottery jackpots often crave anonymity amid challenges to do so
The Illinois winner is going to be revealed on wednesday. Illinois does not allow one to remain anonymous, but I do think your lawyer can claim for you. I'm not sure. As much I dislike the state law, I still want to win!

Maryland Mega Millions winners claim prize anonymously
Who are they? Unless I see an actual winner I don't trust the integrity of the game. My state does not allow you to remain anonymous so I will save my money. Level the playing field or deal with the complaints. Yeah some people never will get it, especially uninformed noobs.

Maryland Mega Millions winners claim prize anonymously
Sirbrat: You are the reason people choose to remain anonymous if they win the lottery. You have some serious anger issues and, by the way, I bet I make more money than you do also (and have more degrees). I would guess that you perhaps have a year of college, then dropped out, are on your second or third divorce by now, resent the suits , think you are going to write the great american novel someday, and wonder why the young women find you dull. And yes, I am another woman who finds you dull.

anonymous vs. public disclosure
Really? Is this a recent requirement because I have read many times on the California Lottery website where it says the winner wished to remain anonymous. The last two or three winners had only their first name and last initial listed in the media section. Why do you think it is a requirement that the winner's name has to be released?
