Planning On Winning A Jackpot?
Interesting article, Chewie. It's very informative. This paragraph will probably surprise some people: Many lottery winners, especially large prize winners, are often dismayed to learn that, even after their lottery prize is substantially reduced by income tax withholding, they may be required to pay additional income tax. Given the disparity between the 28% federal withholding rate and the 39.6% top marginal income tax rate for individual taxpayers, many large prize winners will have to pay mor

Just imagine if tonight, someone from one of the member lotteries read this post and decided to try it...Even if we thought about catching them on it (if they did), they would probably deny it just as they would do in the article.Throw this forum at the media and there goes the scandal.

Florida Lottery Ruins Their Web Site
When the Florida lottery first started, after some time there would be a newspaper article on how no one had won in a certain area or county. Soon after there would be a jackpot winner there. Fact or BS, you decide. BobP

Gullible woman bilked out of $100K in lottery scam
Recently read an article that Nigerians are sitting in internet caf s dreaming up schemes to send us rich Americans because they perceive us as greedy, gullible and that our government will give us back the money they manage to bilk us for. Plans For Your Winnings
Interesting article. I side on the factor that 1: The person was 18 and old enough to vote. Accoutable as an adult in the judicial system. 2: No one forced the drugs it was an additive choice that met with the hands of unfortunate circumstance. 3: jack Whitkaker may be alot of things but I sincerely doubt he would want injury for any persons' kid. May the scales of justice be tipped in favor of jack.

Oregon lottery still on (PB)Winner Watch!
Thanks so much for the article. I though I'd read all the good lottery related articles on the web, but this is one I haven't seen yet. Very interesting. I don't know why West would talk to the press before validating his ticket. Doesn't seem very safe or smart. At least I know what NOT to do if I'm every so lucky.
