Calif. lottery director to resign
First of all, the Lottery Act DOES NOT in any way prohibit CA from participating in a multi-state game. All the tickets are sold here and all monies received/paid here. The Attorney General (who is a jerk) even agrees - the only one who doesn't are the Legislative attorney - you really believe he's going to tell one of his bosses he's wrong? About time Chon left - the only good thing he did was make them invest the vendor savings they got in the new GTECH contract towards Scratcher prizes. Sti

New Daily Millions
Daily Millions was a multi-state game that involved picking 2 red balls, 2 white balls, and 2 blue balls. Matching all 6 won a million dollars in cash. It showed promise initially, it even had televised draws with a special machine made just for DM. Unfortunately, sales were low and therefore prompted it's replacement with Cash 4 Life, which was based off New Jersey's Lotzee. It started a cycle of less and less original ideas from MUSL.If I was in charge, it would be the same situation. Ball mac

2nd tier MM prize as a progressive
It can't be done in Powerball, because small states would have terrible 2nd tier prizes. It's already being done in all states that offer pari-mutuel prize payouts. In fact, California has pari-mutuel prizes on all games, including SLP. The problem with your theory (other than what I've mentioned already) is that the odds of hitting a 2nd prize in all other games is low enough that there would never be this kind of payout for 2nd place. This is a concept that really only works with Mega Millio

Mega Millions or Powerball?
Mega Millions holds the largest jackpot in June 2000 when it reached 363 million. Powerball with their 5/55 + 1/42 starts with a 15 million dollar starting jackpot with 27 states, D.C., and the Virgin Islands on 8/31/05 [first draw]. Mega Millions with California joining as the 12th state start with a 12 million dollar starting jackpot on 6/24/05 [first draw]. Which one will surpass 363 million jackpot grand prize? What is the highest jackpot sold in a multi-state game individual winner?

Powerball Lottery States Vote to Change Game

People who don't like odds above 100 million should stick to one state games. Leave the large jackpots to those who want a chance at them. It would be like me saying that

Mega Millions lottery jackpot leaps to $96 million
The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery grew to $96 million Wednesday.None of the tickets sold for Tuesday's $82 million drawing matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball. The next drawing will be Friday. There were eight second-prize winners from Tuesday night's drawing: from Massachusetts, 1 from Michigan, 1 from New Jersey, 2 from New York, 2 from Texas, and 1 from Virginia. Each ticket matched all five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number to win $175,000.Also, 33 p

I have yet to see a single winning jackpot ticket over 160mill in the south from the multi-state lotteries.the last one that I remember was the young lady in Ga that won her share of the record Big Game jackpot. Thats what???? 3-4 compared to how many from up north?!?!?!

Help with system - DLM - 2
Tom,Your request for help is confusing. Are you interested in a discussion of ideas on playing the lotteries or attracting paying members to your pool? If you are picking numbers the same way as everybody else, why should anyone be interested in joining your pool? There have been several members mentioned that they run lottery pools, but so far, I've seen no proof that they offer any more than can be gained by starting a pool locally with friends and neighbors that are known and trusted.
