ok, armymom, you have midday number 289.. you add 5 to each digit in 289 to get three new numbers in green. then you add 8 to each digit in the three numbers in green. then you increase nine new numbers in yellow by one to get 27 new numbers to play with. Since April I've been playing much less, only one play per draw just so I can still have a chance to win and look forward to the drawings. It turns out to be more fun to have only 1 number or set in each game because if I lose it's not as big a deal. No. If only one number out of 39 was drawn then there would be a 1 in 39 chance of of correctly guessing that number. Since there are 5 numbers that are drawn there is a 5 in 39 chance. Red is suppossed to make people more aggressive. One of the casinos I worked in switched to red uniform shirts because of that. some casinos went to red felt layouts instead of the traditional green ones, same reasoning. I don't think a lottery website having a bright red background would increase play, but who knows? I know, 'puters and all, but on the website where they tell players how to fill out a playslip they say use any color but red!
