I voted this year because nothing surprises me any more. Even if I had a lot of extra money I wouldn't buy a $50 scratch because I don't like the instant loss. It's an attitude I guess. Even when I had a good job I wouldn't spend $20 on one ticket. However, I think some people might buy a $50 scratch ticket, depending on the prize and the odds. I think the lack of second place winners has more to do with the new matrix than with some sort of statistical correction. And at least one of those times last year was due to the fortune cookie fluke. As for offering 10 X's on a regular basis. It seems like Powerball is setting a new record for setting the most new records. I really dislike this new matrix.
